In North Carolina, for instance, near 60% of migrants end up deported shortly after arrest. The rest are pending cases to be deported later by court or by choice.

In Colorado, as in the rest of the U.S., most migrants arrested end up deported. Those few who haven't been removed are kept in detention long-term. Bond release under Trump is highly restricted, becoming rarer, so the main choice for migrants is to leave.
