But I know for sure that they do not know anything about the value of human motivation and determined efforts.

If experts were to be believed, after the total destruction in 2nd World War Japan had NO future. BUT the same Japan in just 3 decades or so, made US cry at the market place.

If the experts were to be believed, Israel should have been wiped out from the world map by the Arabs, but the fact is different.

As per the rules of Aerodynamics, the Bumble Bee can NOT fly. But it flies, because it does not know the rules of Aerodynamics.

If the experts were to be believed, we should have been no where in 83 Cricket World Cup.

A new car

The husband gifted a new car to his wife for her birthday. He first handed over the keys, then a pouch of necessary documents, including her driving license, and followed up with a long hug.

He then offered to take care of children and asked her to go on a long drive. She thanked him with a kiss and she was gone with her auto-baby.

Hardly a kilometer into the drive, she hit a median. She was safe but the car was dented. She was consumed with guilt, "What will I tell him? How will he take it?" Thoughts and feelings ran amok.

The police were quick to arrive at the accident scene. "Can we see your licence?" they demanded. Her hands still shivering, she reached for the pouch that her husband had given her.

With tears rolling down her cheeks, as she picked the license from the pouch she noticed a 'post it' on it with her husband's handwriting, you"Honey, in case of an accident, please remember, it is you that I love and not the car. Loving you."

Debriefing of this story

A scratch on the car increases our blood pressure but we don't mind a scratch in our heart. Please remember to love people and use things and not to love things and use people.

*ప్రస్తుత పరిస్థితికి అద్దం పట్టే కథ..*

అది ఒక అందమైన జింకల వనం. అందులో జింక జాతులు ఆనందంగా, నిర్భయంగా జీవిస్తున్నాయి.

ఒకసారి ఆ వనం నుంచి ఒక జింక దారి తప్పి, వేరే అడవిలోకి వెళ్ళింది. అక్కడ దానికి ఎన్నెన్నో కొత్త కొత్త జంతువులు కనిపించాయి. తోడేళ్ళనూ, పులులనూ, సింహాలనూ, నక్కలనూ తొలిసారి అక్కడే చూసింది.

అక్కడ ఒక కొమ్ముల జింక ఎదురై- ‘‘ఓ జింక సోదరా! ఈ అడవిలో నిన్నెప్పుడూ చూడలేదే!’’ అంది.

‘‘అవును. మాది జింకల వనం!’’

‘‘ఈ అడవి మీ జింకల వనం లాంటిది కాదు. ఇక్కడ మనల్ని చంపి తినే క్రూరమృగాలు ఉన్నాయి. వాటి నుంచి ఎలా తప్పించు కోవాలో మీకసలు తెలియదు. కాబట్టి ఇక్కడి నుంచి త్వరగా వెళ్ళిపో!’’ అంటూ ఆ జింక గెంతుతూ వెళ్ళిపోయింది.

‘‘పిరికి జింక! నేనూ జింకనే. అదెలా తప్పించు కోగలదో నేనూ అలాగే తప్పించు కోగలను’’ అనుకుంటూ జింకలవనం జింక ముందుకు వెళ్ళింది.

అక్కడ చెట్టు కింద నిద్రపోతున్న సింహం కనిపించింది. జింక మెల్లగా దాని దగ్గరకు వెళ్ళి, తన ముంగాలి గిట్టతో సింహం తోకను తొక్కింది.

సింహానికి మెలకువ వచ్చింది. బద్దకంగా లేస్తూ జింకను చూసింది. గర్జించింది. ఆ గర్జన విని, జింకకు గుండె ఆగినంత పని అయింది.. వెను తిరిగి వచ్చిన దారినే పరుగులు పెట్టింది.

అడవి దాటి జింకలవనం వైపు పరుగులు తీస్తూనే ఉంది. జింకలవనం సమీపానికి రాగానే సింహానికి చిక్కింది. సింహం దాన్ని చంపి, చీల్చి ఆరగించింది.

తరువాత సింహం లేచి మెల్లగా జింకలవనం లోకి వెళ్ళింది. దానికి అది కొత్త ప్రదేశం. అక్కడ దానికి గుంపులు గుంపులుగా జింకలు కనిపించాయి. సింహం ఆనందానికి అంతు లేదు. దొరికిన జింకను దొరికినట్టు చంపి తినేస్తోంది.

కొత్తగా ముంచుకొచ్చిన ఈ మృత్యువును చూసి జింకలన్నీ భయపడిపోయాయి. చెల్లా చెదురయ్యాయి. పొదల్లో దాక్కున్నాయి. బిక్కు బిక్కుమంటూ బతుకుతున్నాయి. పొరపాటున ఏ జింకయినా బయటకొస్తే చాలు... సింహం దాన్ని పడగొట్టేస్తోంది.

అయితే ఆ జింకల్లో తెలివైన కుర్ర జింక ఒకటుంది. దాని పేరు జ్ఞాననేత్ర. జింకల పెద్దలు జ్ఞాననేత్ర దగ్గరకు వచ్చి- ‘‘దీనికి పరిష్కారం ఏమిటి?’’ అని అడిగాయి.

‘‘జింక పెద్దలారా! నేనూ అదే ఆలోచిస్తున్నాను. ఈ క్రూరజంతువును ‘సింహం’ అంటారు. దీని పంజా నుంచి తప్పుకొనే చాకచక్యం మనకు లేదు. ఎటు ఆలోచించినా, ఎంత యోచించినా ఒకే ఒక్క దారి కనిపిస్తోంది. ఈ సింహం ఆహారం లేకుండా 14 రోజులు మాత్రమే బతకగలదు. కానీ మనం 21 రోజులు బతకగలం. కాబట్టి మన జింకలన్నీ తమ పొదల్లోకి దూరి 14 రోజులు బయటకు రాకుండా ఉంచే చాలు. దీని పీడ మనకు విరగడ అవుతుంది. మనలో ఎవరైనా నిర్లక్ష్యంతో బయటకు వచ్చి దానికి చిక్కారా... దాని జీవిత కాలాన్ని మరో 14 రోజులు పెంచినట్టే! ఈ రోజు అమావాస్య. ఇప్పుడే పొదల్లోకి చేరిపోదాం. పున్నమి నాటికి బయటకు వద్దాం. తమ పొద నుంచీ ఏ జింకా బయటకు రాకుండా చూసే బాధ్యత ఆ జింకల పెద్దలదే!’’ అంది.

జింకలన్నీ జ్ఞాననేత్ర మాటలు విన్నాయి. ఆకలితో అలమటించాయి.

పున్నమి వచ్చింది. జింకలన్నీ ఒక్కొక్కటీ భయం భయంగా బయటకు వచ్చాయి. వనం మధ్య చెట్టుకింద చచ్చి పడి ఉన్న సింహాన్ని చూశాయి.

ఆనందంతో అరిచాయి. గెంతాయి. జింకల కేరింతలతో వనమంతా పులకరించింది.
