Once again, we send special greetings to our brothers and sisters, the students of Palestine in the diaspora, and to our comrades and colleagues in Students for Justice in Palestine, the Samidoun Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, Palestine Action, and the academic boycott and divestment campaigns, and we salute everyone who participated and participates in student encampments at every university, college and school.

The duty and responsibility of Palestinian students in the Gaza Strip and all of occupied Palestine is steadfastness, commitment, resistance, unity, and alignment with the resistance and the people until the U.S. – Zionist aggression stops and the occupation is defeated and removed from our land — all our land, from the river to the sea.

Several students and community members at the Wayne State University Gaza solidarity encampment were violently arrested this morning in a WSUPD raid. Students have reported that hijabs were removed from some students and there is a possibility of felony charges. The Wayne State cops trained with the IOF in 2019. Solidarity with our steadfast comrades in Detroit, who many of us had the pleasure of meeting and learning from while in town for the People’s Conference for Palestine.

The University of Antwerp in Belgium has officially suspended all cooperation agreements with the Israeli occupation.

"Institutions we partnered with in Israel have institutional collaborations with military officials," Rector Herman Van Goethem said in a statement.

"Therefore, general cooperation agreements have been suspended. Current research projects are being completed but may be subject to additional review by the authorized Ethics Committee," he said.

1500 students voted at a student general meeting for the University of Queensland (UQ) to cut ties with weapons companies that supply weapons to Israel, including Boeing. The initial room used for the SGM was too small (only 500 capacity), so the student union expanded to 3 extra lecture rooms. Afterwards, hundreds of students marched to the Chancellors building for impromptu speeches.

SCENES FROM THE VIOLENT POLICE RAID CALLED IN BY UCSC ADMINISTRATION LAST NIGHT.

- An estimated 100 or more arrests were made against students, community members, and faculty.

- Bulldozers and trucks were brought out to clear the encampment. Police brutally ripped down Palestinian flags, art, and were even seen crushing body bags with flowers and the names of martyrs on them after uproar to not touch them.

- Students were hit and beaten with batons on their heads, slammed face down into the concrete, trampled over, pushed into, bruised, and more.

- Feminine presenting students reported police aiming at their chests and deliberately targeting them. Racial profiling occurred and racially discriminatory searches happened.

- A student was violently tackled to the ground into the concrete and police put a bag over their head while keeping them on the floor- restricting airflow and later causing the student to throw up and pass out. SHAMEFUL.

🚨🚨 REVOLT FOR RAFAH:

Join Palestinian students, supported by the wider community at Columbia, at a the new Gaza Solidarity Encampment. We are outraged by Columbia’s complicity in the killing of our people in Gaza, and most recently the massacre in Rafah. We are equally outraged by Columbia’s use of brute force and their capitulation to the Billionaire’s lobby, instead of to the “safety of the students”. We will resist, until Columbia divests.

The action will coincide with Columbia’s Alumni Reunion. We want to make it clear to Columbia Alumni to cease donating to Columbia until they meet our demands.

This will be an action of community building and political education. Programming will include teach-ins, film screenings, art builds, open mics and talks with Palestinians in Gaza and Palestine. Food and cold refreshments will be available.

An autonomous group just occupied the president's office at Stanford:

"Pro-Palestine protesters entered and barricaded themselves inside Building 10, the president’s office, located in Main Quad, at 5:30 a.m. Wednesday morning, which marks Stanford’s last day of classes for spring quarter. Protestors plan to remain in the building until the University meets demands or they are forcibly removed.

Around 10 students are barricaded in the building, while about 50 others surrounded the building with linked arms. Once inside, protestors barricaded doors with bike locks, chains, ladders and chairs and covered security cameras with tin foil. Outside, protesters spray painted on a window, “Our office now,” and chanted, “Palestine will be free, we will free Palestine.”

Protestors issued three demands to the University: add the divestment bill submitted by Stanford Against Apartheid in Palestine (SAAP) to the next Board of Trustees meeting, with a recommendation by President Richard Saller supporting the bill, disclose finances from the previous fiscal year (2022) including endowment investments and drop all disciplinary and criminal charges against pro-Palestinian students at Stanford.

The group has renamed Building 10 to “Dr. Adnan Office,” named after Dr. Adnan al-Bursh, “the Palestinian General Surgeon who was murdered in April by the Israeli genocidal campaign,” according to a press release." (Stanford Daily)
