The entire building has been fully evicted ca. 1 hour ago.
Our occupation of the Jabalia Institute, formerly the Institute of Social Sciences of Humboldt University, lasted for 30 hours.
We may be physically not occupying this space anymore, but we embody the values upon which we established it.
The Jabalia Institute lives.
The student resistance lives.
Palestine lives.

A message from the movement at the University of Arizona:
“These weeks have been a school. We are learning in our bodies what has been only theory, understood at a distance. We are learning to act together and build a world.
A few days of action are worth a year’s study (although study is precious). We have momentum—it’s not about negotiations, concessions, or reforms, it’s about pushing for Everything. This is a rehearsal.
We are speaking with our actions, refusing to be governed. We can be the future.”

On May 20th, in honor of Nakba day, students held a demonstration around Stanford’s complicity to the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Stanford had the sheriff on site and over 10 cop cars in the rally area. Over 300 people marched around campus, and an autonomous group entered the Mechanical Engineering and Biomechatronics Lab that was recently exposed for receiving funding from the department of defense. The group was met with state and administration repression and dispersed.

At the People’s Conference for Palestine, the crowd erupts into a chant of “The people united, will never be defeated,” after mention of UAW Local 4811 strike in solidarity with the student movement for Palestine. Then, Wissam Rafeedie repeated the phrase in English—"the people united will never be defeated"—gave the V-sign, then pointed to the red flag that hangs behind him on his bookcase, besides the Palestinian flag.

🚨 Civil Defense Directorate in Gaza:
—
We responded to the distress calls from citizens in the northern shelters area west of Rafah Governorate, which is one of the humanitarian zones to which the "israeli" occupation forcibly displaced citizens, blatantly disregarding the decisions of the International Criminal Court.
Our teams have retrieved approximately 50 between martyrs and injured individuals, aside from those transported by the Health, Red Crescent, and medical services teams. We extinguished a fire with the participation of all civil defense vehicles in Rafah Governorate.
The targeting of this area by the occupation adds to the genocidal crimes that the "israeli" occupation is carrying out against the civilian population in Gaza, in clear violation of all international norms.
We hold the "israeli" occupation fully responsible for the massacre, as well as the United States of America, which supports the occupation with the weapons used to kill the Palestinian people and were used in the Rafah massacre today, contributing to the increase in human losses and the number of martyrs in the Strip.
The attacks and massacres in Rafah Governorate continue despite the rising number of martyrs and the significant shortage of resources and capabilities within the humanitarian work system in Rafah Governorate, and the destruction of civilian objects in violation of all international laws.
We hold the United Nations agencies fully responsible for the cessation of humanitarian work due to the lack of fuel and necessary humanitarian work supplies for civil defense, even though they are active in wars and contribute to providing logistical support to local humanitarian intervention agencies. We have formally contacted them to supply us with fuel, but they align with the occupation by not providing us with the necessary humanitarian supplies and fuel.
In conclusion, we emphasize the following:
Firstly: We demand the UN Secretary-General, the President of the International Committee of the Red Cross, the Red Crescent, and the President of the International Committee for Civil Protection and Civil Defense to urgently intervene to compel the United Nations to supply us with our humanitarian needs to complete the emergency interventions.
Secondly: We demand the President of the International Criminal Court to take swift steps to stop the genocidal massacres against civilian objects in Gaza and stop the genocide war.
Thirdly: We call on Arab countries to break the unjust siege on the humanitarian work system and urgently supply us with our logistical needs.
Fourthly: We urge the free peoples of the world, especially students in American and Western universities, to move immediately to support and assist the humanitarian work system as one of the essential pillars in urgent response efforts.
