Hey WashU, are you dressing up cops as professors now? ๐ท๐จ๐ปโ๐ซ
During the graduation ceremony of Washington University in St Louis, a โprofessorโโseen here standing between commencement speaker Jennifer Coolidge and Board of Trustees Chair Andrew Burksyโwas identified as police officer Elvir Ikeljic.
Not only have the complicit university administrators called the police on students, now they are giving them pretend doctorates so they can hide in plain sight. SHAMEโผ๏ธ

Palestine was the word of the day at the NYU GSAS graduation today. Dozens of students and faculty in keffiyehs, multiple students displayed flags and signs on stage, and the entire room chanted โfree, free Palestineโ at the end of the hooding ceremony!

๐The New School
The students and faculty of The New School have for fully occupied all 7 floors of the Lama Jamous Center (72 5th avenue) for four days, sitting atop one of main arteries of capitalism in America, the most expensive and high end shopping street in New York City.
The building, normally used as the nexus of administration for the school, is completely under control of New School faculty and students, with them determining who is allowed access.
Tonight, the encampment, the last in NYC, prepares for a possible sweep tomorrow morning as graduation ceremonies are completed and the semester is at an end.

The Institute of Politics remains de-occupied, despite police attempts to remove protesters. Students are demanding divestment from Israeli apartheid, and connecting this liberatory demand to anti-gentrification and abolitionist demands in Chicago.
All power to the students! Get down there and support your comrades if you can!

๐จ BREAKING - FLOOD UPENN FOR PALESTINE! Moments ago Refaat Alareer Hall was liberated by our students and community members at the University of Pennsylvania in what was formerly Fisher Bennett Hall.
๐ Pull up to 34th and Walnut St immediately, and bring flags, pots, pans, noise makers, megaphones, and anything else you have to contribute to our collective safety!
We must flood Penn to defend the Hall and the liberators who have successfully taken control of the building. We have a duty to our people in Palestine to defend this liberated space, as the liberators of the hall have escalated in a moment of immense repression and aggression by the UPenn Administration and the PPD against the Palestinian liberation movement in our city.
Mere days ago, the UPenn administration sicced over 300 riot cops on the Gaza Solidarity Encampment at Penn which led to the brutalization of our people in the encampment. This cannot stand. We must stand together in defense of Refaat Alareer Hall, because we know the only people who will ever keep us safe, is us. The student intifada has become a people's intifada and we must show up in honor of the martyrs - from Turtle Island to Palestine.
The demands of our movement remain clear: an end to the US-Israeli genocide in Gaza and an end to the complicity of all Zionist institutions in the US including the University of Pennsylvania. We, the people, will defend Refaat Alareer Hall and ensure that it remains liberated until Penn divests from the Israeli war machine.

๐ฃ๏ธFrom The New School faculty solidarity encampment:
Around midnight on Saturday, May 18th, The New School Security dismantled and swept the Refaat Alareer Faculty Student Solidarity Encampment at the University Center at 63 West 5th Avenue. New School security workers locked all entrances while the schoolโs maintenance team removed all tents, posters, supplies, and other encampment components from the space. Community members are now without essential items, which were removed without prior notice or consent. No arrests were made and the NYPD was not involved in the raid. Our de-occupation of the Lama Jamous Center prevails. We demand an immediate vote on divestment. We will not leave until this happens.
