As the student movement grows in might and conviction, the fascist state, defender of the zionist entity, unleashes its feral dogs on the encampments.

Tonight, a thousand armed riot cops were invited into Columbia University to reoccupy Hind’s Hall (FKA Hamilton Hall). Cops entered with guns drawn, breaking down doors and throwing students down flights of stairs. Meanwhile, at City College New York (CCNY), the NYPD maced and brutalized students and community members. And at USF, cops tear-gassed protesters—but some protesters picked up the canisters and threw them right back. Every day, just as we see evidence of brutal repression, we also see striking footage of encampments repelling the cops. We are becoming stronger, more agile, more irrepressible hour by hour.

May Day is upon us. Heeding the calls from Gaza to strike for Palestinian liberation, we urge faculty to withhold their labor until the demands of the encampments are met. CUNY on Strike announced that faculty members pledged to a sick-out tomorrow. Teachers, workers, who will strike next? It is time to apply more pressure on your universities. We will not rest until they divest!

An hour ago, the NYPD raided the CUNY Gaza Solidarity Encampment after the CCNY administration gave them the green light to raid the encampment and brutalize CUNY students, faculty, staff and community members. As far as we know, the first person the cops arrested as they entered the campus was a professor who is the faculty member on our negotiation team, and had just gotten off the phone with CUNY Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs. The Vice Chancellor feigned ignorance on police activity on campus. Right after, the NYPD arrested 150+ CUNY students and community members. This is an fascistic attempt at destabilizing our movement. More info to come. We will not back down. We will stand our ground until Palestine is free.
