The encampment stands. This morning, a violent police sweep took down all the tents. A community rally re-established them, and the school agreed to allow the tents to remain through the night. Twenty students who were detained were released (instead of being arrested). We keep us safe!

Yesterday, someone from the NYT called a Columbia encampment organizer at 10 a.m. “I have never given the Times my number,” the student said. Did they get it from the cops, or from admin?
