A Quick Breakdown..!!
How prediction market trading actually works
Every market on Polymarket has a price between $0.01 and $0.99. That price is the market's live estimate of the probability something happens.
If "Bitcoin above $65K by Friday" is trading at $0.70, the market is pricing that at roughly 70% likely. As new information comes in (price moves, news, sentiment), that number shifts. $0.70 can become $0.45 in minutes.
That shift, not the price itself, is where the opportunity lives. Most retail traders react to the number. A systematic approach reacts to the shift, and reacts faster.
That's the layer we build tools around at PolyScripts. Our daily logs are the proof it works in practice, this is the part that explains why.

Sit tight. I’ll highlight a few of them and break them down in a simple way. 👇

1. Maker
A maker, adds liquidity to the order book they place a limit order that sits and waits (like "buy YES at 62¢") instead of filling into an existing order. Makers create the market for others to trade against, which is why platforms usually reward them for it.
2.Taker
A taker removes liquidity by filling an existing order immediately (a market order, or a limit order that crosses the spread). They get instant execution but usually pay a slightly higher fee since they're consuming liquidity rather than providing it.
3.LP (Liquidity Provider)
An LP supplies capital directly into a market's liquidity pool rather than trading it. Instead of betting a direction, they earn a share of the trading fees generated by that pool, similar to being a market maker but at the protocol level rather than the order-book level. This is separate income from your directional trading PnL it's why it shows as its own line item.
4. Fees.
Fess is simply the cost charged by the platform in this case, 'Polymarket' for executing trades usually a small percentage of trade volume. On high-frequency strategies like short-interval BTC up/down markets, fees add up fast since you're trading in and out constantly; that's why your fee line runs so high relative to net profit.
4. Rebates.
A rebate is essentially a negative fee, a small payment back to you for certain activity, most commonly for being a maker. Platforms want deep order books, so they'll rebate maker orders (partially or fully offsetting the taker fee that the other side pays) to incentivize people to post liquidity instead of only taking it. Rebates directly offset your fee line, so a maker-heavy strategy usually nets a lower effective fee cost than a taker heavy one.
In short: Maker/Taker describes how a trade was executed, LP describes a separate liquidity pool income stream, Fees are what the platform charges you, and Rebates are what the platform pays back to encourage the behavior it wants (usually market-making).
