- He described himself in a 2019 interview to the German newspaper FAZ as "the most aggressive critic of Islam in history." He is an atheist and has applied for asylum in Germany because he fears persecution as an unbeliever and critic of Islam in Saudi Arabia;
- He is a specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy;

🇩🇪🇸🇦🏴 I personally expected ISIS to take responsibility for the attack, the fact that it didn’t announce it immediately was a bit suspicious, but I thought it would definitely do it, since it’s the number 1 perpetrator everyone has in mind.

This is an extraordinary combination; the attacker was a mentally challenged militant atheist, saying Germany promotes Islamism and supporting counter-Jihad and Saudi liberal opposition activists. Based on his tweets, it’s definitely a scenario that he believed he would demonise Muslims by staging the attack; the target was a Christmas market besides. At this stage, I wonder how he was able to practice psychiatry.

A thing I forgot to mention is that the attacker was wanted by Riyadh due to charges of terrorism and human trafficking in his country, but Berlin refused to extradite him (and eventually paid the price with the high civilian toll). I would obviously appreciate if you have more content to share in the comments.
