Following the October 26 parliamentary elections, in which the ruling Georgian Dream party, known for its stance on maintaining ties with Russia and opposing anti-Russian sanctions, secured 53.93% of the vote, opposition supporters have gathered to contest the results.
President Zurabishvili, who has supported the pro-European opposition despite the constitutionβs non-partisanship requirement for the presidency, called for these protests in response to the election outcome and will address the crowd at some point soon.

Nothing can make them [elections] legitimate. You, the people who gathered here, you have not lost the elections! Your vote was stolen and they tried to steal your future as well. But nobody has the right to do that. And you wonβt give anyone the right to do so.
I solemnly swear I will be with you till the end on this European path. And until we reach the Europeβs doors, which is our true reality and future.

No, the government has learned from the events in 2004 and in Ukraine 10 years ago.
π¬ @PoliticsGR Commentary:
π¬πͺπͺπΊ With recent EU decisions on deteriorating relations with Georgia and the insistence of the bloc to prevent the government from diversifying its foreign policy, I believe the first possibility isnβt far-fetched. Furthermore, support for the EU is very high nationwide, including in Georgian Dream strongholds.
All in all, we shouldnβt be surprised if the EU takes further action against Kobakhidze.
