Admin has conflicting feelings about the Korwin situation
On one hand, krol certainly did institute his well known election protocol. As he has done so many times before, near the end of the campaign he said something so electoraly stupid that it is in distinguishable from sabatoge.
In midst of an enormous pdf file scandal involving the most well known Polish youtubers, Korwin-Mikke said relations with 13 year old girls were ok if the mother approved.
These statements cost Konfa a significant amount of votes. Many activists and candidates spent so much time and energy on the campaign, and were sunk by these comments. It really damaged the party.
Korwin is a very hard man to have a coalition with. He loves being controversial. Other leaders for years put huge effort to increase support from women, and Korwin destroys this with comments about how women shouldn't have right to vote.
On the other hand, in my opinion Korwin was not the reason for the disappointing result. The centrist meme tik tok stragety was a bad idea. We should have gone harder, more right, explicit ethnonationalist sentiments that are popular in Poland. Why was Tusk the vanguard attacking PiS for making it look like Bangladesh in parts of Poland and not us. Konfa positioned itself as reasonable right wing with right wing economics and low tax, but election wasn't about that, it was emotional PiS vs anti PiS coalition battle, Blue vs Red, and party outside that dynamic didn't appeal to voters. Imo, we shouldn't have hid Braun. This is of course most clear in hindsight, and the high turnout disfavored Konfa regardless.
At end of election Korwin was at a low point, he lost his seat and was getting backlash outside and within party. I know many in Konfa who have long wanted him to go. But he deserves to be treated with respect.
Who will bring what Korwin brought? I'm not talking about his loyal followers, but his unbending will to disregard optics and say what he felt is true. Old Polish proverb, Korwin is almost always right. Who will give party backbone to stand for truth?

Last week the Israeli embassy spread story about decapitated Israelis babies. As far as I'm aware no evidence for this has ever been shown, and Israel has not even said that they have photographs.
