Howard G. Buffett Fund for #Women #Journalists - Rolling Deadline
Eligibility: Woman-identifying journalists from anywhere in the world are eligible to apply. The IWMF believes that gender does not conform to one notion. We are inclusive of all journalists who identify as women, which includes trans women, and non-binary people.
Established with a $4 million gift from the Howard G. Buffett Foundation, the Fund will support projects including educational opportunities, investigative reporting and media development initiatives. Starting from January 2020, the Fund for Women Journalists will accept applications on a rolling basis. Applications take approximately 4-6 weeks to process.

Volunteer in #Spain/European Solidarity Corps ( Fundació Sant Tomàs)
olunteers will stay in a full equipped flat in the city center, facilitating their social life in Vic due to its excellent location. In addition, we'll provide them with a credit card in which we'll monthly pay the following imports (approximately, according to the grant): • Transport 40€ • Food expenses 150€ • Pocket money 150€ This will be the fifth consecutive project and the feedbacks have been always very positive. We've the resources to make sure all the volunteers enjoy the experience in a safe and happy environment.

The African Arguments Pilot Fellowship for Young Freelancers
DEADLINE FOR APPLICATION: 5th September 2021.
The fellowship is designed to fit into (rather than disrupt) the chosen journalists’ already busy schedules and help them develop through two key ways:
Firstly, the fellows will be guaranteed three paid commissions that they will work on with dedicated one-on-one mentoring from the African Arguments editors. With generous and experienced guidance, the journalists will be supported in producing engaging, balanced, original work of the highest quality on topics of their choice. The finished pieces will be published and heavily promoted on African Arguments (with opportunities for republication elsewhere).
Secondly, the fellows will receive a series of expert-led online trainings over the course of three months. These devoted and intimate sessions will help the freelancers learn from experienced leaders in the field, share ideas, and develop key freelancing skills such as pitching, securing funding, writing for international audiences etc. It may also include additional trainings arranged to cater to the chosen fellows’ specific needs or interests.
