COMMUNIST PARTY MARXIST KENYA
Central Organizing Committee Statement
FREE COMRADE DARWIN WANGECHI! DOWN WITH STATE REPRESSION!
The Communist Party Marxist Kenya (CPMK) condemns in the strongest terms the arbitrary arrest and continued detention of Comrade Darwin Wangechi, a committed Party cadre and organiser, who was seized from his home in Laikipia County on Thursday, 16th April 2025 by the local Chief under the directive of the repressive state apparatus.

Since his arrest, Comrade Darwin has been denied access to legal representation. Neither his family nor Party comrades have been permitted to visit him in detention. He remains behind bars without clear charges, as the state scrambles to fabricate reasons to justify his continued imprisonment.
The regime now claims to be investigating him for so-called “cybercrime”a baseless accusation clearly designed to keep him detained and disrupt his revolutionary work. This is a calculated manoeuvre, part of a familiar script used by the state to criminalise dissent and suppress political organisers. His arrest on a Thursday was no coincidence; it was a deliberate move to ensure he remains in custody over the weekend, without access to judicial recourse.
The targeting of Comrade Darwin is not an isolated incident. It is part of a broader campaign of intimidation waged against revolutionary forces by a decaying, comprador state that serves imperialist interests. His only “crime” is his unchanging commitment to the struggle of the poor and oppressed in Laikipia and across Kenya.
The Communist Party Marxist Kenya and its Revolutionary Youth League firmly reject these false accusations and demand Comrade Darwin’s immediate and unconditional release. We are clear: no amount of repression, arrests, or intimidation will silence our movement. If the state believes it can crush the revolutionary tide by jailing our comrades, it is gravely mistaken.
We call on all progressive forces, workers, students, peasants, and the Kenyan people at large to mobilise in solidarity with Comrade Darwin. Raise your voices. Organise solidarity actions. Expose the injustice. Demand his release.
We honour the courage of Comrade Darwin and all those who continue to defy the fascist machinery of this neo-colonial order. Let it be known: we shall not retreat. We shall not be intimidated. We shall organise, resist, and advance!

Workers’ Day Declaration of the People’s Party of Panama
Fascist Raids in Türkiye
Before May Day Towards 1st May, the class condradictions and clashes in Türkiye are sharpening. The fascist Turkish state and the religious fascist government intensified their attacks against revolutionary progressive workers and socialist organizations just before May Day. After the March uprising, the compromisers in the labor movement betrayed the “Taksim initiative” and declared that they would be in Kadıköy for the May 1st celebration. Taksim Square has been in the social memory of the movement as the site of May Day since 1977. Revolutionary workers and “struggling unions” formed an organizing committee and started preparations for the Taksim May 1st celebration. This was a big challenge for the government and the compromising unions. In response, the government took action and arrested many revolutionary workers, including the head of the “Taksim Organizing Committee”, and raided the homes of socialist and communist activists. Comrades from the "struggling unions", various socialist organizations including Mücadele Birliği Platformu (Struggle Unity Platform), and women and youth organizations were detained yesterday and today in the early hours of the morning. The raids continue in all major cities. The fascist Turkish police arrested hundreds of people to prevent May Day demonstrations in major cities. The detainees will be kept in custody until the “clashes” are over, that is, until May 2 or the next day. On the other hand socialist organizations, "struggling unions", youth organizations, women organizations, revolutionary workers going on preparing. Tomorrow will be one of the decisive days of fighting.
