🏳️‍🌈 It's July, which means that it's Disability Pride Month! It can feel really hard to find something to be proud about, but we do it anyway. 🏳️‍🌈

Even prior to my TBI and TIA, my life has definitely selected "hard mode," regardless of my opinion or consent... like since birth. The scooter is a newer addition; as my autoimmune disease has progressed and become clearer, my ability to trek even middling distances or over hard ground has declined. So...wheels! As needed.

Between my Mommy (Teldra) and my service dog's support, plus a robust medical team, I get by. My joints rebel and my brain is fuzzy a lot, but I try my bestest! Seizures and paralysis spells can't stop this pup.

The hardest part is when I lose something new to conditions I've had my entire life; these diseases will continue to evolve and change, and with them tend to take collateral. The newest are that I don't know when I'll be able to safely do conventions again, and running and possibly hiking are perma out of the picture. So... I try to find new things, new purpose, new ways to do old things I love, new joy.

And all of you are a part of that joy! So thank you for witnessing and supporting me on my journey.

I love artfight cuz I get the chance to experiment with techniques I wouldnt want to risk fine tuning on paid commissions. I should reopen experimental pieces maybe?

Also I would LOVE to do more ASL commissions.

I vaguely remember finger spelling BSL and like 3-4 signs but I would be open to BSL coms too. But ASL is my bread and butter! Disability commissions in general!!! Representation!!!! 🏳️‍🌈
