This leak reveals that the Pixel 8 does not come in "Grey" as we thought, but "Hazel" with the device having a slight green tint in the color.

Google considering shifting Pixels manufacturing to India amid Vietnam workers leaks

Google is considering shifting Pixel production to India due to repeated leaks from Compal Vietnam factory workers.

Over the past 3-4 years, all of the Pixel photos or videos that have been leaked before the official launch have been done by factory workers.

The first Pixel 8 Pro was leaked by a factory worker, and YouTubers are also getting their hands on it.

Vendors near the Compal Pixel factory in Vietnam are stealing Pixel phones from the factory and selling them unofficially before the official launch.

Compal appears to have difficulty keeping secrets, so Google is considering shifting Pixel production to India, where it is hoped that factory leaks will halt.

Sadly, this switch would mean that many Compal Vietnam factory workers would lose their jobs if Google cuts off its ties.

Tensor G3 spotted on Geekbench, reveals performance close to Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1

Google's next generation Tensor G3 chipset (codenamed zuma) has been tested on Geekbench 6 on both Pixel 8 and 8 Pro.

As leaked earlier, the core layout features four 2.15GHz Cortex-A510s, four 2.45GHz Cortex-A715s, and a single 3GHz Cortex-X3 all based on ARMv9.

Pixel 8 scores: 1563 single-core, 4159 multi-core

Pixel 8 Pro scores: 1760 single-core, 4442 multi-core

This puts Google's Tensor G3 a bit higher in raw performance than the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.

Disclaimer: Tensor G3 supports Memory Tagging Extensions to prevent memory based attacks, which turned on can affect the scores negatively. We're not sure if MTE was on or not.
