First ever look at Pixel 8 Pro
91Mobiles
The leaker Kamila Wojciechowska has released a real life video showcasing a prototype Google Pixel 8 Pro. You can see the full design of the phone in white and a showcase of the brand new thermometer feature.
There's now one wide pill fitting all of the cameras that looks larger than the one on the Pixel 7 Pro, and next to it there's the LED flash and thermometer sensor.
The infrared thermometer sensor lets you scan the body temperature by bringing the phone to your forehead, similar to other touchless thermometers.

Material You theming on Wear OS 4
9To5Google
Besides the changes announced during Google I/O, there's more new goodies in the future Wear OS update! The 9To5Google team have enabled a hidden toggle to "enable dynamic theme" which brings the familiar Material You color theming known from Android 12 and newer!
With the dynamic theme, the UI elements like the Quick Settings tiles, Settings or the Play Store will get themed in the color of your watch face.
For example, the shade "Lavender" will bring a pink hue to the system elements and "Honey" will theme it in yellow/golden-brown. Third party watch faces will theme your watch in blue, although it might be customizable by watch face developers.

Google Home 3.1 is out with a new music player, light controls and better UI for tablets
9To5Google
Google is slowly rolling out the 3.1 update to Google Home with some tweaks to make it more tablet-friendly. The main tabs are now more rounded with the Devices tab now listing all rooms in a row.
You can also find changes to the speaker music player, as it got redesigned along with the light control menu.
There's now a tall pill used to control the brightness of the light and a floating action button to precisely choose a color. For lights that can only do light/warm lighting, you can find 6 preset toggles to change the color temperature.

Pixel 8's SoC leaked - here's what's in Tensor G3
Kamila Wojciechowska
The core layout has been changed to 1+4+4 with four 2.15GHz Cortex-A510s, four 2.45GHz Cortex-A715s, and a single 3GHz Cortex-X3.
Due to the ARMv9 architecture, Tensor G3 is 64-bit only and will not support 32-bit apps. ARMv9 brings Memory Tagging Extensions which can prevent memory-based attacks.
The GPU has been upgraded to a 10-core Mali-G715 chip running at 890MHz with Ray Tracing support.
Google included their second-gen 1065MHz DSP to speed up image processing. The MFC block now supports 8K30 video encoding/decoding in H.264 and HEVC. Pixel 8 will be the first phone that can encode AV1 up to 4K30.
Its TPU now runs at 1.1GHz for better performance in AI-related tasks.
Tensor G3 includes a newer Samsung UFS controller, which supports UFS 4.0 that can double speeds and efficiency up to 50%.
In other news, the modem will remain the same with some changes. Also, trans rights 🏳️⚧️

Android 14 Beta 3 Known issues
Top Known Issues are:
* An issue with the Credential Manager platform APIs causes instability in apps that use them. A fix is available in the latest preview version of the Android 14 SDK, which developers can install using Android Studio. Developers who previously installed a preview version of the Android 14 SDK should completely uninstall the previous version and then reinstall the SDK to apply the fix.
* An issue with the system UI sometimes causes the screen to flicker when a video is playing or an app is using in picture-in-picture mode.
* In some cases, video continues playing in the background even after closing an app if the video was playing in picture-in-picture mode when it was closed.
* A video that is playing in picture-in-picture mode stops playing abruptly if the back gesture is used within the PiP settings screens.
* A system issue can sometimes cause the Android System Intelligence service to crash.
* When using a device with a work profile, the Google Play Store app in the work profile hangs or crashes when launched.
