Pixel users around the world reports getting "Public Storm Warning Signal #1" weather warning
Two hours ago, people from worldwide starts to see that their Pixel (and OnePlus) phone is reporting a weather warning. The weather warning seems to be Philippines public storm warning signal.
Here are some facts about it. The warning means that area is experiencing 30~60kph wind speed in the next 36 hours once the signal is raised, fortunately it's not going to cause a lot of damage, but minor damage will be made to plants and some houses with light materials.
So well, hope people who are currently living there can be safe from the storms.
*Posting this as soon as possible since this will be outdated by tomorrow, lol. And yeah guys, sorry for being inactive but well ensured that normal operation will be back after December 16th as mentioned earlier, thanks for your understanding.

Minecraft videos gains over total one trillion views on YouTube
YouTube (YouTube Video)
YouTube is the world largest video library platform, and over there billion of views have been recorded every single day, including YouTube Shorts. Billion is already a big number, and just recently all Minecraft videos on YouTube have gain over one trillion total views.
A gaming topic and a trillion views, that's definitely impressive. YouTube also has created a page showing all the top Minecraft video content creators, and all of them are linked which will direct you their channel page once tapping on it. The most popular form of Minecraft content is animation. Also a fun fact here. 500 billion to 1 trillion views just took less than 3 years to complete.

Face unlock to arrive on Pixel 6 Pro with Android 12L, but not for the Pixel 6
9To5Google
Weirdly, Google end up cancelling face unlock for the Pixel 6 when earlier rumors are hinting the phone will get it. A month ago, XDA reported that Google might include it in a future software update, and well seems like this is true after all.
The team over at 9To5Google found out that Google is preparing the feature with strings code reference, but unfortunately the smaller Pixel 6 won't be having it. It unclear whether Google is going to launch it as part of the Pixel Feature Drop or stable Android 12L update, as it is currently still under development.
Face unlock on Pixel 6 Pro will still be scanning 2D face instead of 3D like Apple's Face ID, so be aware of the risk that your device can be unlocked easily.

Pixel 6 owners in Europe reported December update break carrier network service
9To5Google
UPDATE: Google said it not due to the wrong region builds being installed.
Hmm... I thought December update by Google is expected to fix tons of issues on their Pixel, but Pixel 6 owners end up complaining network issues, most reports are coming from Europe regions.
Pixel 6 received its December update a few days ago, and it has been split into few regions build instead of having one universal build. Users in Europe should be receiving the update with the build number ending with .A4, but some got the OTA update which install .A1 global build from them. After installing it, they realised their network connectivity is having some issue.
If you have bought your Pixel 6 phone from Europe and received the global build update, get the European build from here and sideload it, issues should be resolved by this point.

Three apps have been awarded 2021 Material Design Awards
Material Design
Google is hosting Material Design Awards since 2015 to encourage developers to make use of Material Design and create great apps, This year, there are three apps that have won the award, and here are the list of it:
Motion: Post-it
It's all about animation.
When users capture a note in the app – using their device’s camera – the note is animated upward, lifting off its real-world background and signaling a transition from physical space to a digital experience.
Large Screen: Todoist
Much more productivity on a large screen device.
Column-based layout grids provide convenient structure for creating and testing such layouts, also allowing for quick decisions about how components adapt; bottom sheets in Todoist respond to screen size to maintain clarity, context, and readability, and navigational components make more use of increased screen size.
Dark Theme: Meetly
A dark experience.
Illustrations in the app serve as an important part of Meetly’s approach to branding – like other components, replacing bright background colors with darker, less saturated alternatives that ensure the relationship between background and foreground, UI and illustration, is maintained across themes.

Last year, Google earlier has the plan to merge Duo with Meet so that there will be only one Google's video call service, but seems like the plan has been discontinued.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic happened, Google Meet is improving days by days and have gain new virtual effects for your background, more participants limit for a meeting and more. Meanwhile if you see Duo recent development, there only just Material You redesign for the app and that's pretty much it, hence the idea of merging two services together.
Later, Google told 9To5Google that there has been “no change in our plans to continue investing in our consumer users." when they are asked for comment. And for the past year, in order to rebut the state of the service, they have offered the following features:
• Refreshed Duo UI to support Material You
• Expanded tablet and foldable device support
• Brought Duo to Samsung TVs
• HD screen sharing
• New screen sharing controls
• New spam controls and protections
• Improved contact search
• Launched 18 new video effects
• Many under the hood improvements to quality and reliability
So yeah, now the idea of merging both services have been cleared out. If you had like to learn more on the situation, you can read the original article to learn more.
