Google internally formed 'Fortnite Task Force' after Epic Games skip the Play Store
Android Authority

Fortnite is known for skipping away from Play Store as Epic Games don't want their in-app payment get cut down by Google, but this results in Google to form Fortnite Task Force after they skipped Play Store in 2018.

The mention of it is spotted in a legal filling made by Epic this week (via Bloomberg). The task force seems to take advantage of a possible security issue for users sideloading Fortnite, instead of waiting for 90 days before disclosing security issue, Google just went ahead and disclosed it within 9 days.

We can just see that how Google hates Epic. Anyway, Google is lowering app subscription fee from 30% to 15% starting from 2022, which should be much more friendly for app developers.

Bose 700 for Pixel 6 pre-orders are out of stock in Europe, but there a better deal
Android Police

If you are in Europe and pre-order a Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro, you will be gifted with a Bose Noise Cancelling Headphones 700 worth €400. As the stock are getting scarce, Google found that they won't be able to ship it to all customers, hence they decided to come up with another pre-order bundle, and it a better deal than the original offer.

Posted by someone on Reddit, Google is reaching out to several customers who pre-order the Pixel 6 and informed they will be getting the Bose QuietComfort 45 worth €350 and a €75 Google Store voucher. The pre-order bundle offer is worth €425, which is up from the Bose 700's value of €400. QuietComfort45 provides worse sound quality compared to Bose 700, but it provides superior noise cancellation and longer battery life.

Meanwhile U.S. and Canada customers are getting the Pixel Buds A-series as usual.

Google Assistant ‘Continued Conversation’ seems to be broken on all Pixel phones
9To5Google

Google Assistant "Continued Conversation" debut with the Pixel 4, and it has been included in all newer Pixels till the latest Pixel 6, but for the past week or so, it starts to become non-functional in all Google Pixel devices.

After giving the command and getting a response, the Assistant light bar vanish instantly, and you have to activate it again in order to use it again. When working normally, it should continue to listen for the next 10 seconds.

Google seems to be aware of the issue at this point, and they said they are working on "an immediate fix" (lol). Anyway, an update for the fix will be release soon to restore the functionality.
