Google Messages might be testing out a new way to show your unread chats
Android Police
Google Messages seems to be experimenting with notification dot in your unread chat lists to better catch your attention.
Someone reported to Android Police that the dot is appearing at the right side of the unread chat date/timestamp. That guy also reported that on the stable version of the app, he also got it but instead it a much more saturated blue color.
The feature is rolling out via server side. You can try installing the latest beta version of the app 10.6.240 to get the new changes though.

Google internally formed 'Fortnite Task Force' after Epic Games skip the Play Store
Android Authority
Fortnite is known for skipping away from Play Store as Epic Games don't want their in-app payment get cut down by Google, but this results in Google to form Fortnite Task Force after they skipped Play Store in 2018.
The mention of it is spotted in a legal filling made by Epic this week (via Bloomberg). The task force seems to take advantage of a possible security issue for users sideloading Fortnite, instead of waiting for 90 days before disclosing security issue, Google just went ahead and disclosed it within 9 days.
We can just see that how Google hates Epic. Anyway, Google is lowering app subscription fee from 30% to 15% starting from 2022, which should be much more friendly for app developers.
