Changelog:
• Fix “Phone Services” location indicator spam.
• This was merely a UI bug. A code change by Google this month made it so that the Phone app accessing cellular information like it always has got reported as location access.
• microG SafetyNet Basic attestation is now working. Device Registration needs to be enabled.

Known issues
• If you had hidden Gallery before this update, you cannot unhide. Workaround, run adb shell pm install-existing com.android.gallery3d from a computer.
• New icons don’t show up for all apps. Workaround: Change Icon Shape from Settings -> Display, and change it back.

New Pixel smartphone being tested in India

According to Mukul Sharma (stufflistings), a well known leaker there are undergoing tests of a Pixel smartphone in India, possibly the Pixel 6a!

Google India might try to get some sales from people trying to upgrade from the now two year old Pixel 4a as it's the last officially sold Google Pixel device there.

Pixel 6a near its release, production began right before Google I/O

According to rumors, the Pixel 6a has started it's production in multiple Asian countries.

What interesting is in this leak though, is the usage of (NFC) next to the device name which could mean the lack of a 5G modem in the device (hopefully it's going to be better than the one in Pixel 6)

In a tweet below, Mukul has stated that Google will be distributing the phone in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore and possibly India adding two new countries with official sales of Pixel devices.

• Fixed an issue where some devices were unable to connect to the wireless carrier network after installing Android 13 Beta 1.
• Fixed an issue where QR code scanning would sometimes not work when selected from the Quick Settings tile.
• Fixed an issue where app icons would occasionally fail to appear after the user unlocked the device.

Other resolved issues:
• Fixed an issue where Bluetooth headsets would sometimes fail to accept calls or play call audio.
• Fixed an issue where Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro devices would crash and reboot if more than 300 apps were installed.
• Fixed an issue where Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro devices would reboot constantly when Bluetooth was enabled.
• Fixed a regression in Android Keystore that caused some apps to crash on launch.
• Fixed an issue where in some cases the system would incorrectly display an empty notification group from an app.
• Fixed an issue where long-pressing Bluetooth from the settings drawer caused the UI to crash.
• Fixed an issue where devices would sometimes get stuck at the Google logo during startup after receiving an OTA update.
• Fixed an issue where suspending the device while a USB-C headset was plugged in would cause the device to crash and restart.
