GrapheneOS:
On the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, GrapheneOS already had the May security update patches for the kernel applied a month earlier using GKI's (Generic Kernel Image). This is likely how it's going to work every month going forward since we're updating to the new Generic Kernel Image releases much earlier than them.
Today, we'll be updating the GKI to the latest stable release for May, which includes security fixes that will likely end up in the June and July bulletins or even later ones. We used to do this ourselves for each device but it was using up too much time. GKIs make it very easy.
On the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, GrapheneOS already had the May security update patches for the kernel applied a month earlier using GKI's (Generic Kernel Image). According to Mukul Sharma (stufflistings), a well known leaker there are undergoing tests of a Pixel smartphone in India, possibly the Pixel 6a!
Google India might try to get some sales from people trying to upgrade from the now two year old Pixel 4a as it's the last officially sold Google Pixel device there.
