Notes:
• Be on stock february 2022 firmware first
• Be sure to unenroll face before setting up fingerprint for the first time. Basically, add face during setup as prompted, then go to security, remove face, enroll fingerprint, then re-add face. Else you get boot loop chaos.
• Make sure to use the latest platform tools from Google (can't use minimal fastboot)

Installation:
• Boot to recovery, wipe/format data there
• Reboot to bootloader
• Drag the rom where your platform tools can reach. (if you haven't installed it systemwide on windows)
• Type the command fastboot update derp_device_vx.zip
• Do not unplug your phone or interrupt this process, it will do everything for you
• Reboot into DerpFest.

PSA: Some custom ROMs started to spoof the Pixel 1/1XL for unlimited photo upload to Google Photos, but because of that you lose Magic Eraser.

To bring that feature back, disable unlimited photo upload and clear app data and cache of Google Photos.

Alternatively go to /system/product/etc/sysconfig with a root explorer (like MiXplorer) and remove the pixel_2016_exclusive.xml file

• Google made a drastic move and now, since March build, framework-res.apk can't be decompiled...it can't even be installed in order to be decompiled. The behavior is the exact same as on 12 L and 13. This means that, until Apktool gets updated I can't do anything in order to update the FULL module version to March build.
