Small update:

My 2 XL is out of action for now, I have a walleye arriving in around 2 days so that will be my primary testing device until a couple of weeks when my replacement taimen screen will arrive.

No this does not mean the device is dead, it just means it will take a bit more time.

🎉 Pixel 2 Community 1 Year Anniversary Special Post 🎉
If you haven't realised yet, the channel is being created exactly one year ago. After four years since the phone is released, I can still see many people are holding Pixel 2 as their daily driver, it's ridiculous.

I am quite amazed that Pixel 2 received a lot of Android 12 ROMs in just a few months time, they are already stable for daily use. You guys should felt thankful to all those developers who are doing the job, while Pixel 1 development is kind of dying on Android 11, sadly.

In this community, I am seeing most people who are running custom ROMs are already switching over to Android 12. Oh yeah, it's a good time to actually see how many users are still on stock ROM, Android 11 or Android 12 custom ROMs. Vote down below in the poll which one are you using.

Last month, I asked the community to create something "special" so that in this post, we can record some cool stuffs. Hmm... never mind, just another normal month I guess. By the way, a flashback to something that @PixelBoot teased earlier, recently he has been busy so unfortunately the project is delayed, this actually could have been the special things I had say, hopefully one day it can be released.

Anyway just want to let those newcomers know that we don't just operate this Pixel 2 community. We first started from having a Pixel 1 community, and later we expand to create this one. A few months later, we have a general channel posting Google related news content, anyway Google Pixel are still our main focus of the channel.

Lastly, if you own the latest Google Pixel flagship, consider joining our Pixel 6 community, On that channel, you will receive ROMs and kernel update related information like in this channel. Since it still a new device, many articles site will post news about it and we are posting over there too, in courtesy of our general channel.

This will be the last monthly post summary for the channel, but we will try our best to continue maintain this community. I bet Pixel 2 will receive Android 12L ROMs soon. For now, you can check out what's new in Android 12L Beta 2 summary over here. Also follow @PixelHubUpdates if you had want to continue track all these Android and Pixel updates. Until then, this is the one year anniversary post for the Pixel 2 community. Thanks for your support!

Attention! There has been some small ban waves from Google on those account who uses spoofing system props to get Google Photos unlimited storage. Please use it with cautions.
Most confirmed that the ban will be removed if all Gphotos clients currently active with your Google account report back to their servers your real device information.
Note: I cannot confirm this issue for now. I did the fix but as written on XDA post: I do not recommend everyone to joy around the spoofing.

if you're using pixelify or any other modules like that, remove it immediately.
if you're on pe or other roms that spoof any pixel, uninstall google photos for the time being.

this is a screenshot from someone using pixel experience 12 getting their google account disabled. i recommend playing it safe and removing it until further notice

• Minimized GAPPS (you should now able to install another GAPPS package to complete them)
• Removed some annoying AOSP apps (AOSP Gallery, AOSP Dialer, AOSP Calendar, etc.)

Notes:
• Bluetooth isn't working, will get fixed in next build
• I'm again trying to solve the GAPPS related problems. For now, I've reduced the GAPPS to the minimum that won't cause problem with the ROM's essential functions, but also leaving 500MB of free space in the system partition.
