....the very rainy few weeks we have had has left the ground very waterlogged here, especially the area in front of the stage/ woodshed....because we process all of our firewood there it's got very muddy and because the ground is very clay here, it doesn't drain off that well....so I've dug a trench in front of the stage, put a sand layer in and a length of perforated drainage pipe, leading off into the hedge....I will cover over the top with a layer of gravel when I've been to the builders yard tomorrow....then a load of woodchip all over the area sometime later in the year....

....been very busy in the garden again....hope to get a video done tomorrow....was going to wait until the polytunnel is covered, but there has been so much planting out to do it's still not done....will do a polytunnel video next week I think....

....tensioned and we are pretty pleased with the results....
First time ive done a polytunnel from scratch....the frame was an old trampoline we got for free, the plastic sheet cost £40, various screws, timber and fixings from stock....Big thanx to my mate who came up in 20°+ sunshine to give me a hand....just got the door and window to fit tomorrow, then we will start putting plants in....
