....my first attempt at water bath canning....
Chopped the tomatoes, boiled into a passata, added some salt, filled the jars, then boiled for another 20 minutes.....don't know how successful it will be, will keep you posted...

....this stove has a pizza oven built into the top of it, so I'm going to put a copper coil in the oven, pump cold water to the bottom of the coil from the shower tank, warm outlet at the top, back to the tank....light fire, pump water round for half an hour....have shower....adjust as necessary....

....today's progress on the wood fired water heater for the shower....got a 12v inline pump, with a hose taking water from the water tank....out of the pump, across the floor and up to the back of the burner....I'm waiting for some fittings to arrive, so can't actually connect the heat transfer coil yet, so it's bypassed....up the wall behind the burner, over the top of the door, around the corner and back down into the tank....have tested the circulation without the coil, and it all seems fine....no leaks....yet....

....got the parts, all plumbed in....

doesn't work....

the water just doesn't get hot enough....looks like a failure for now....😢
