....went over to a mates place today to build a compost loo....had a big pile of reclaimed materials and several hours in a lovely woodland....no better way to spend time....💚....it's not finished yet, but we ran out of time and they are perfectly capable of doing the finishing touches themselves....might go over and sort out some propper steps at some point too....

....built the new barbeque today, partly to teach our daughter how to level a plot and lay some bricks....had to replace the wall of the shed with some metal sheet and got rained off once too....washed it with a watered down mortar mix afterwards to give it a rustic style....

Bloody angle grinder packed up cutting the gas bottle, so it might be a couple of days before we get to actually use it....🔥

....so it looks like the new barbeque works ok, sausages from the local butchers, home grown salad and proper English mustard....🔥

....and this was cooking over a stick fire as I don't have any charcoal at the moment....

....my DeWalt drill/ driver that I use almost daily packed up a week or so ago....makes life difficult not having such a reliable tool to hand....so today I got a couple of old drill/ drivers I've had in box for years since the old NiCad batteries died....never really knew what to do with them, but they are still working tools, just got dead batteries....so today I got the hacksaw out and cut the battery cradle off the recently deceased DeWalt and fastened it to the base of a hacksaw modified drill....works perfectly....then, feeling inspired, I chopped the battery cradle off the last of the Emisters I've had kicking around....modded an old Bosch drill that now works perfecty too....so I've gone from no drill to two working drills, and I've got about 15 DeWalt pattern batteries to use, so I might start modding some more old dead battery powered tools next....
