....cleared the grass from where the next planned veg bed is going to go....mowed it progressively shorter over a few days (little mower has worked it's ass off 😂), until it was down to bare earth....covered it until we've got time/ effort to dig it over....then started the first mow over to clear the grass from the top veg bed, which is getting doubled in size....first half still covered tho as instead of digging it over I ended up planting potato bags all over it....

....the leeks seem to be doing ok after being transplanted a few days ago....

....going to build a barbeque next to our outside dining table, got a load of bricks I was given and an old gas bottle to use to hold the charcoal....did a simple dry mockup this morning to see if it will work....will have to move the mirror and put some metal sheet in place to protect the shed....filled the gas bottle with water to vent any gas fumes out before I cut it up with the angle grinder....

....went over to a mates place today to build a compost loo....had a big pile of reclaimed materials and several hours in a lovely woodland....no better way to spend time....💚....it's not finished yet, but we ran out of time and they are perfectly capable of doing the finishing touches themselves....might go over and sort out some propper steps at some point too....

....built the new barbeque today, partly to teach our daughter how to level a plot and lay some bricks....had to replace the wall of the shed with some metal sheet and got rained off once too....washed it with a watered down mortar mix afterwards to give it a rustic style....

Bloody angle grinder packed up cutting the gas bottle, so it might be a couple of days before we get to actually use it....🔥
