👀 Have you ever noticed these two patterns out in the trading wilderness? Here’s what both of them mean:

🔨 The hammer pattern signals the start of a bullish trend. Its long lower shadow indicates that, despite the sellers' attempts, the buyers prevailed and managed to pull the price back up.

👇 On the other hand, the hanging man signals the start of a bearish trend. Its long lower shadow means the buyers have not managed to pull the price up.

👍 In both cases, it is wise to wait for a trend confirmation from the first subsequent candlestick.

📊 These two patterns consist of a candlestick with a body, a longer upper shadow that is typically twice the length of the candlestick of the body, and a minimal-to-non-existent lower shadow. In both patterns, the length of the upper shadow has a significant meaning, as it indicates the demand for the given asset in the set time period and a potential shift in the market.
