Mayor kenney is going after guns again. Gun control means more policing. Means more police violence
We support our bipoc comrades rights to arm and self defense. We believe cities like Philadelphia have taken steps to incite violence by instilling fears in the PPD over individuals possessing guns like other departments. I'm tired of the city inciting violence in our neighborhoods over something neighboring communities and especially white communities pride themselves on with Gun possession. Black folks have a 2nd amendment right to bear arms and form a well regulated militia. But those words create fear among whites. This needs to stop. Especially since there are so many white supremacist paramilitary operatives nationwide serving in our police forces, and being deputized when they arent.
I'm tired of the mayor, city council, and ppd looking for new crimes to write up to charge and harass civilians over.
#Philly Reports include that 4 officers fired at the suspect. The suspect apparently fired at police. There has been no body camera footage released. There is apparently a 19 year old victim in the carjacking. But until body camera footage is released, there is no way to tell if officers fired or if the suspect fired first. Until body camera footage is released, PPD is covering something up. Until body camera footage is released, we should be planning to hold the city accountable for their actions. After body camera footage is released, we should still be holding PPD accountable for their actions.

#Philly What is the point of requiring body camera footage if there is no punishment for police who break that law? Why do we get punished for petty offenses, when police can just turn their badge camera off without penalty? Philly does not have a punishment for officers who turn their body cameras off or don't wear them.

As a reminder, our dear comrade GrittyBot has retired. He still volunteers just in case but we should let him go back and be a mascot. In its place we would like to introduce to you RUSTy, who has been doing the great work in his place with more security and a bigger and more coordinated team. Please continue to send in tips to @RUSTContactBot
This is a vitally important article for anyone doing action in the street. The federal arresting agencies are going to try literally anything to get people in jail, including attempting extradition for littering.

"She had been arrested at her Philadelphia home at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday by city police and federal law-enforcement officers for allegedly trespassing and littering during the nonviolent Sept. 8 protest near Richmond, according to a statement from VietLead."

Hey look, apparently he was a Pinkerton. So a Pinkerton, not an antifascist, killed a Nazi today. For those who are unaware of the story of the Pinkerton Detectives. They were a private military contractor hired by corporations and the united states to take on workers in the biggest, and most violent days of the labor movement. Several lives have been taken by Pinkertons in the Homestead Strikes, the Coal Wars, and several other events in our nations history. They were notoriously violent killers back then. They still contract today with police and private agencies. Just so everyone has their facts strait on events that happened today.

What land is this that we live on? Lenapehoking. The Lenape are considered the "Grandfather" tribe, the tribe that other Algonquin tribes would look to for guidance and advice. And here's the thing- Lenape people are *still here*.

Follow today for links to different sites about Lenape and Native existance and resistance in the DE Valley.
