I am a huge NBA and 76ers fan. But the Sixers will not get money for a new stadium when there are 18000 homeless people in our city. Until all 18000 homeless folks are housed, we will block any stadium construction if public money is used for it.

A bid to relocate the 76ers to Penn’s Landing has divided Philly, with advocates seeing growth opportunities and critics wary of lost tax revenue.
"If they dont get the tax money they'll move to Camden" and? I'm sure folks in South Jersey feel the same. 40% unemployment in the Atlantic city region and Camden county is also struggling. Housing support is a much bigger need than a new stadium. South Philly only has parking islands. Maybe build your jobs there and use garages.
$2Billion builds 20000 homes. Meaning there will be 2000 more than there are homeless people in Philadelphia.
While Philadelphia has extended its eviction moratorium, tomorrow the state of Pennsylvania will have to tell up to 500,000 renters that they wont have a home if their landlords choose to evict them. It's time we stand up together and cancel rent statewide.
