According to Pew Research data, as shown in the chart below, household income seems to play a role in where on #SocialMedia the family's kids hang out.
However, Lynn Schofield Clark, a professor in the media, film, and journalism department at the University of Denver believes, in the end, the most important indicator of where teenagers go is simply where their friends are. And this, in itself, can be the very reason why class division in social media exists - and is growing.

With ongoing discussions about #SocialMedia’s role in the spread of fake news and hate speech, user awareness about the responsibility of tech giants to manage these problems also rise.
Even though #Facebook & #Twitter recently introduced steps to keep their platforms clean, 47% of respondents of a survey conducted by Hubspot perceived their social media feeds to be more spam-loaded in recent months.
This might be due to Facebook’s definition of spam which reads a bit vaguely and does not include for instance fake news. However, 79% of all internet users polled agree that fake news counts as spam.

⚡️ New research suggests that six second linear television ads can generate good levels of engagement. In this research, despite six second ads accounting for just 3%, they actually drove 6% of attention. Interestingly, six second ads generated more attention per second than 15 or 30 second ads. They also yielded higher attention per second among all age groups, with adults aged 35 and over paying slightly better attention to six second ads than younger consumers.
