To some extent this represents a readjustment after the social media frenzy around the Trump inauguration last year – but these patterns also exist elsewhere. In the 🇬🇧 usage grew from 20% in 2013 to 41% in 2017 before falling back. The decline in 🇧🇷 appears to have started in 2016.
