#Telegram raised $850 million from 94 investors in March in addition to $850 million it gained in February. That's almost two whole unicorns in the largest #ICO (Initial Coin Offering) to date.
The company, founded by self-exiled Russian Pavel Durov, plans to use the ICO proceeds to develop the Telegram Open Network #blockchain, which includes the cryptocurrency #Gram.
Interest in the Telegram ICO has recently helped the company surpass the threshold of 200 million monthly active users, “with over 700,000 new users signing up each day.”

Eschewing the typical #IPO song and dance in favour of a direct listing, music streamer #Spotify made its debut on the New York Stock Exchange (#NYSE) yesterday in one of the most anticipated tech-related offerings since Snap’s IPO in March of last year.
If first impressions count for anything, Spotify’s first day of public trading was mixed. Shares closed down about 10% from their opening price, but above the reference price first set by the NYSE.
Here’s how things shook out:
- NYSE set a reference price of $132
- Shares made their debut with an opening price of $165.90
- Shares peaked at $169 shortly after trading began
- Shares closed at $149.01

💰 Fortnite on iOS made $15 million in its first three weeks in the App Store
According to SensorTower, Epic Games’ #iOS port of smash hit #Fortnite has earned more than $15 million in its first three weeks on the market.
Fortnite on iOS is now out-earning mobile heavyweights like #CandyCrushSaga, #ClashOfClans, and #PokemonGo on a weekly revenue basis, earning $6.4 million in the last seven days compared to Candy Crush Saga’s $5.8 million.
Sensor Tower estimates Fortnite has been downloaded 11 million times on mobile alone. According to Superdata Research, another game analytics company, Epic made about $126 million through Fortnite in-app purchases in the month of February. Mobile sales will surely boost that figure in the coming months.
