🔴 [MAINNET] Emergency Upgrade for core-1 chain to v16.0.1

We’ve been notified of a high-severity vulnerability impacting Persistence and many other Cosmos chains. A patched binary is available: once 66.67% of voting power upgrades, the chain will effectively be patched against the vulnerability.

Please upgrade to the attached binary ASAP; this is a critical security update.

The patched binary is not consensus breaking and can be applied in a rolling manner. More details about the vulnerability will be made public on January 21st by Cosmos Labs. After the disclosure, we will merge the fix into our public persistenceCore repository.

Upgrade procedure:

🟠 [TESTNET] Persistence Testnet (test-core-2) Sunset Notice

Hi everyone,

As shared in our recent update, Persistence in the AI Era, we're refocusing the team and our resources toward AI transformation. As part of that shift, we're consolidating chain infrastructure that no longer aligns with our direction. That includes winding down the test-core-2 testnet.

Our team currently operates the majority of the voting power on this network. Once our validator is stopped, consensus will halt. This is a permanent sunset, not a temporary pause.

This change is limited to the test-core-2 testnet. The Persistence mainnet will continue to operate as normal.

Timeline
Our testnet validator will be stopped no later than Monday 13th of July. At that point, the testnet will halt and will not be restarted.

What is being decommissioned
• The test-core-2 validator (network consensus halts)
• Testnet RPC and REST endpoints, including rpc.testnet2.persistence.one
• Testnet snapshot downloads

If you're running anything against test-core-2, whether that's a validator, integration, tooling, or any service pointing to the endpoints above, please migrate off before the stop date. There is no replacement testnet at this time.
