The $9.5 BILLION Australians took out of ATMs in February shows why talk of a cashless society is redundant, a campaigner behind a "keep cash alive" movement said.

Jason Bryce, founder of Cash Welcome, told 9news.com.au that banks - not people - are the ones who will benefit from a full transition to digital payments, through merchant service fees and card surcharges and the collection of valuable transaction data.

A report released yesterday by the Reserve Bank showed Australians made 30,859,700 ATM cash withdrawals in February, up 3.6 per cent compared to February 2023.

Foreign troops was always their plan. Foreigners are more capable of committing crimes against locals as they lack empathy with the locals. With the added anonymity makes it easier for them to pull the trigger.

Fire has claimed the second Tasmanian mobile speed camera in just two weeks.

The ‘Over is Over’ trailer went up in flames at Ranelagh near Huonville on Wednesday night.

Fire crews rushed to the scene on Agnes Street just after 10pm, with investigations now underway.

It comes after a similar incident on Boyer Road near New Norfolk earlier this month, where police believe a camera was deliberately set on fire.

In a shock decision, a judge has ruled that Victoria Police used 'unlawful' and 'unjustified violence' on anti-lockdown protesters during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Judge Liz Gaynor of the County Court ruled the police were the 'aggressors' at a protest in Melbourne on May 29, 2021 which left a man with a dislocated arm. 

Victoria had some of the world's strictest lockdown conditions at the time, including that people could only move within a 5kilometre area of their home for shopping or exercise, and the banning of public and private gatherings.
