Open Your Eyes—
and Mind!
The Romantic poet and illustrator
William Blake (1757–1827) believed that
the imaginative person could discover
eternity in life’s moments. Good advice
for aspiring poets? Consider Blake’s
brief poem entitled, aptly enough,
“Eternity”:
He who binds to himself a joy
Does the winged life destroy;
But he who kisses the joy as it flies
Lives in eternity’s sunrise.

If I could buy immortality I'd decline the offer, the free trial has been more than enough.
