#yourreview. Intriguing topic. Nicely written. You are showing more than telling, which is a good thing. Some suggestions, used flushed in place of filled in the first line. Try to make the sentences succint, yet more effective. Keep them short too. A suggestion if you like, Walking alone in the winter night, through the flushed roads under the street light, I pulled my wooly hat down and collars up. My heart and feet stopped as something warm brushed past my face, fluttering towards the woods. I brought my hand up as I watched first in horror, a flying...elf. On second look I realised it was a fairy.
But to be honest I really liked the concept. Build a story upon it.
Keep writing. 👍🙂

LIFE IN A TRIANGLE

The perfect shape.
Three sides, three points.
Three straight lines, three paths,
Which united, they point
Three ways, but
One single end.
Draw the space and
Narrow it down in the
Triad of time.
Be in the deph of the past or
The width of life,
Death depends on height and
Greatness of unity, which
Defines the core.
Between heaven and earth,
The sea is the movement of life.
That finds meaning in
The simplicity of nature.
In the deepest of beings.
Their perfect void.

Title : Fake Love.
World's love is getting changed.
It's sympathy is turning torn,
giving pain.
Life seems fake.Love seems fake.
Treachery is everywhere. Infatuation is in it's wake.
Everywhere love is getting betrayed.
It's new form is on the way,
which wants lust. Fidelity is it's slay.
Salacity is culminating,
naivety is degrading.
People get bored of Romeos and Ranjhas now.
"One night stands" and "Friends with benefits" are trending now.
Epic love stories are at it's end.
For us, do we really unlock a world where there is no trust and bond?

I really liked this poem with all those references. This blank verse has sweet words combinations with dark reality of life. Great job.
#review #tony #poetry Apple of my eyes
I was lonely at that faceless crowd
When you said my name in loud,
Days of sadness were faded away
I came to know, I’m not alone anyway,
Even nights of new moon started shining
When I used to see as smiling.

Glassy skies of those summer days
I sensed your innocence on our childish plays,
Many glitters were there on our river bank
But I had the gold, as you on my back,
When you cried for me, because I was in pain
That day I knew, you have love for me in your vein.

The world looks pretty and better
When you and me are together,
We are angels with half broken wing
But together we are an unbreakable ring,
It doesn’t matter if you are happy or in pain
My love for you always will be the same.

Ocean of stars with sparkling lights
Just say; yes, and let me hug you tight,
No matter in how much pain you are
I will take all and stand forever by your side,
This is nothing weird to listen or say this
Because you are apple of my eyes..
Take life lesson and more education,
Whereby understand complications.

If you in every critical condition,
Don't do anything for any compulsion.

"Check the restraints."
"Don't worry, he ain't going nowhere."
"Shut your damn mouth and check them."

As John heard the disgruntled mumbling of the man who was taking the orders, he realised that the voices weren't in his dreams after all. But why did it feel so distant and dreamy? He couldn't really think through, what with his head feeling foggy and all. His eyes just wouldn't open either as he tried to get a glimpse of the man, who was apparently tightening the straps on John's wrists.

"It hurts....." John mumbled indistinctly.
The man snorted derisively as he patted John's left arm, "Don't you worry fella, there ain't gonna be no more pain where you're headed!"

John barely heard the man, but he could sense the ominous tone of the man's voice. He felt his heart beating fast and loud, getting faster and louder by the second. One by one, he felt his senses coming back to him, and all of them seemed to be telling his brains the same thing - to be frightened. He heard the man's feet shuffling, in between his shallow breaths to which he was oblivious to until now. The tightening around his ankles were much more pronounced than that around his wrists.

The deafeningly loud crack and the splattering of a thick liquid onto his face were almost simultaneous, as John's body involuntarily jumped in fright! But the man had done his job right, John wasn't going anywhere and all that his reflexes had managed to do was to make the restraints start tearing at his flesh. John still hadn't woken up properly, but his consciousness was awake enough to realise that the sound was a gunshot and that the slimy dead weight that fell on his feet was the man's head.

THE BEGINNING OF THE END OR JUST THE RETURN

At every dawn, just a fresh start.
At every dusk, just a new episode,
Of the adventure called life,
Comes to an end.
Everything begins with only
A seed, which
From the fertile soil sprouts. And, from
A bud, blossoms
A flower, where
The butterflies land.
Which in their brief
Flight through the fields,
Leave only their charm.
Everything begins with only
An embryo, which in the
Mother's womb grows, and is born to
Begin his journey, his learning,
Towards the awakening, to discover that
He is only passing by.
That soon will return
To his origin, where it all
Had just begun.
Along the coming and going of life,
Everything passes by.
Only the earth remains absolute
In its plenitude.
#review #tony #poetry Borderline
We are living at Borderline
Between Death and Life,
Sometime free as bird
And sometime helpless inside.
There are so many laughs and cries
With too much lies,
But still we are standing alone
Under the fantasy sky.
Black and White, nothing is true
Grey is the colour of this loop.
Prologue and The End of the book
Have written already before we knew,
We are just wondering what to write
Of this life, without paper and pen fight.
No matter how much far or closer we live
But we all are always in the Borderline….

Unburdened

I am afraid to dive.
But let's test the waters, shall we?

Down my shoulders,
I let it fall to my feet,
the weights I for so long bore.
So, let's test the waters, shall we?

Light as a feather;
bare under the heavens:
a readied heart.
Let's test the waters, shall we?

PART 1
27/10/20. 7:00am
Marcus' apartment

Marcus jumped out of bed and turned on the TV.
“This virus kills 1 in 3 people, and it has an infection rate of….”

"No. No. No! This can't be. He said she was safe. He said we had won!" Marcus crumbled to the floor. He had lost his sister once already. This time, it was for good.

25/10/20 11:30pm
Black Circle Headquarters.
"You must be Marcus Jackson I presume." The man in the lab coat started.

"Yes...that is my name" he replied with apprehension.

Marcus eyed the two burly men behind him. They gently broke into his apartment. They overpowered him and threw him into the van. "Why did you order them to bring me here?" Marcus asked.

"I ordered nobody. The subject mentioned you as her only surviving kinsman." The man continued.

"The subject? Only surviving kinsman?" Marcus' apprehension was decaying into anger. His clenching fists were a dead giveaway.

Marcus was a hardy man. Served in the fire service for five years. Rising through the ranks in record time. His pride was being on top of situations. He couldn't stand being ignorant. He hated uncertainty.

The man sighed and looked away from Marcus, "She predicted this." He dug into his pocket and pulled out a locket.
"This is the subject." He said as he flipped it open.

Marcus froze. His fists fell asleep. "Fl...Flora."

"Yes. Flora is waiting to see you." The man smiled and motioned for Marcus to follow. The burly men flanked him as they moved down the corridor. The workers scurrying around were almost non existent. No one said a word.

Marcus was ushered into a whiteout room with ten attendants in labcoats. Shock made his feet wobble. Flora was seated on the foldaway bed. Flora was alive.

"I would like to be alone with my brother please." She said.

The white coats quietly flocked out. Marcus hadn't moved a muscle. He was staring at a ghost.

"Marcus. I thought you'd be happier to see me." She smiled.

He shook as tears snaked down his cheeks. Each burn on her body took him back to that day.The fire was unforgiving. She was part of the ten his team couldn't rescue. It had haunted him for two years.

"Marcus. I am alive and well. I missed you."

He moved closer and felt her face. It was her. He knew it from the scar under her chin. He knew it from the suppleness in her tone. He knew it from the innocence in her eyes.

"Flora forgive me. There...there was nothing we could do." He managed, choking on his tears.

"Marcus. This time you can save me...Something terrible is going to happen."

He looked up at her. "I will do anything."

"Marcus. I died. These people brought me back. They brought us back. All ten of us."

"Who ... Who are they?!" Discomfort had drenched his voice.

"Listen. They didn't bring us back for free. They put something inside us. They said it would keep us alive. I watched the others die when their procedures failed. I won't live much longer if you don't do what they ask." She continued.

Marcus clutched her scaly hand. "I'll do anything."

"They are going to make me the courier of a virus. They want the forces to swear allegiance to them. I told them that I knew someone who could hand them the fire service. On account of that would they spare me."

Marcus pushed himself out of her lap. His nostrils flared as his fists formed balls once more "I will not betray my country. I swore an oath."

"MARCUS! THEN I WILL DIE! I will die all over again. Not just me. EVERYONE!" She clawed at the bed and flailed her arms in a fit of rage.

Marcus tugged at his hair. His other hand cupped his face. "No. No..."

"Marcus. What will you stand to protect when everyone is dead?" She said again calmly this time.

Marcus didn't look at her. He couldn't. "I will have no part in this." He said as he walked out.

"How unfortunate. I guess precautionary measures are the next point of call." Tobias said from the control room. He popped another Skittle into his mouth and savoured the moment. Flora fell asleep right after Marcus left the room.

PART TWO
26/10/20 3:30am
Marcus' Apartment

"Chief Combs. Sorry to bother you this early." Marcus was yawning himself. He couldn't fully lift his arms to stretch. The burly men hadn't been as pleasant on the way back.

"Not to worry my friend. I prayed to be up early anyway." Chief Combs said.

"Chief, a big bowl of shit is about to go down. There's a place. I don't know where, but it's a three hour drive from my house. They've got scientists and intel. They've got loads of money and a virus. Yes! A virus. And they've got my sister."

Chief Combs listened quietly with no intention of interrupting.

"They...they are planning to kill us. They are planning to kill us all. They've got some institutions on their side. You are the only one I can outrightly trust." Marcus ended with a sigh of relief. Combs was the face that snuffed the corruption in the police force.

"Thank you Marcus. I'm putting my men right on it. We've been tracing unusual activity in some areas. Maybe we will get a lead."

"Oh God! Combs, you're the man. Now I can rest easy." Marcus smiled passing his hands through his hair. He had saved the day.

26/10/20 11:16pm
"Marcus! Your Intel was spot on. The crisis has been averted. Your sister is traumatized. But safe. She will stay with us for now. There's nothing to worry about. We have won." Chief Combs said on the line.

"WHOA! I knew you could get this done. Why isn't there a statue of you already?" Marcus answered.

Chief Combs was amused by the thought. "Well, Marcus. Your statue will be right there beside mine. Great going champ!"

Marcus was at peace. He eagerly waited for the report on the news. The bust came too late to be aired that night.
"It will be the biggest item in the morning!" He tuned in to the most reliable channel and set his alarm for 6:55am.
"I am not missing the news tomorrow."

27/10/20 7:15am
Marcus' Apartment

Marcus was beside himself. On the floor swimming in his tears. The virus was spreading. Combs probably got the wrong people. At least, Flora was safe.

He talked himself into phoning Combs. His ringtone started off just as he got there. Combs was calling...

"Combs. I don't understand! What the hell is going on?!" Marcus said fighting back tears.

"Marcus it's me. I'm on my way over. Chief Combs gave me his phone. He knew you'd be worried."

"Flora! Flora, but the virus. It's spreading. They chose to spare you even though I..."

"That's behind us, brother. I'm almost at your door."

Marcus cleaned up his face and stepped out to meet her. Flora was out of the cab when he got outside. Her clothes and umbrella hid her skin from the sun. Her long flowy hair danced in the breeze. Flora was finally home.

"Comb's men came to get you out of there? They launched the virus through another host?"

She served Marcus a smile. Her little brother clearly had more questions on his mind.
"Marcus, I brought something that will answer all your questions."

"Ou! You did? Show me!"

"No, no. Close your eyes like a good little boy." She teased.

He did just that, feeling his smile grow wider still. He listened as things moved in her bag. He heard wrappers, perfume bottles and something that clicked.

"Open your eyes, you fool."

His ears perked at the change in her tone. He was half a metre from the pistol. Her pistol.

The blood from Marcus left thigh splattered on the tiles. He clutched his wound, groaning as he fell.

"You could have ruled with us, brother." Flora sent a bullet through his other thigh.

"You could have saved me! Saved yourself! Saved everyone all this trouble." Two bullets flew into each shoulder. Flora giggled as she was sprayed with his blood. She drove her heel into his groin and laughed as he groaned.

"It hurts doesn't it?" She crunched it in some more and didn't relent. Marcus had been reduced to teary squeals. "Wh..why Flora? Why?" He coughed.

"Even Combs is on our side. Brother!" Flora yelled.

Marcus felt his stomach cave in. "Combs!?"

The final bullet tore between his bulging eyes. "Yes. Combs" Flora said as she turned away...

PART 3
27/10/20 7:30am
Black Circle Headquarters.
"Boss. The subject has successfully terminated the first compromise." Tobias started.

"Brilliant. Everything is working as planned. You have full permission to terminate the subject. I knew you could pull this off" Vice President Whitman continued.

"The media is doing a lovely job. The country will be shut down in hours." Toby said.

"Truly. I almost believed the numbers they are putting out there. We will make billions from the vaccine." Mr. Whitman laughed.

"I will carry on as planned. Boss."

"You have proven yourself today Tobias. There are bigger things to come. The world will be our toy."

Toby smiled to himself and ended the call. "If only you knew what was coming, old bastard."

"Toby dear. Send the subject to terminate him in the next hour. He has outlived his use." A shrill voice said from behind Tobias.

Tobias pressed his cheek against the arm that played around his shoulder. "Yes, I will do so right away. We have no time to waste, Flora will run out of power soon."

"Don't you think it's time to bring the nine others online?" She asked.

"Yes mother, the procedures are underway." Tobias answered.

"Together, we will rule this country and all those who tossed us out. That rapist, liar and thief will get what is coming to him." She smiled as she returned to her seat.

Tobias tore open another pack of skittles and turned to face her..."After twenty five years, I finally get to kill him. Toby said, emptying another pack of skittles into his mouth.

"Yes Tobias Whitman. Your father shall soon pay for all his evils." His mother continued.

PROMPT
"The virus kills 1 in 3 people, and it has an infection rate of..."
Is the first thing you hear when you wake up in the morning and turn on the TV."
Title: untitled poem (jmhs)

Struggling between two points
Scoring the floor with talons referred
Simplicity in consistent duality
Taking into consideration initiative
A spectrum of constant relativity
Spoken in the echoes of broken tones
The words of definition scatter
Bones vibrating with vibrant rhythm
In an Oracles window a cage glistens
With that sense of urgency we fly
To make assumptions that we can
Maintain an animated meaning
In making a materialized median
Taking into account the accosted
The feudal struggle in accepting
Earth is only embraced by bodies
Moving in accordance with a law
Abiding mechanisms have no time
Regressing in the sin of refinement
When the sphere maintains a luster
Supplied by the muses mastering
Through all these epochs
There has always remained an echo
Enoch spoke of much
The priest sang of such and hushed
Et cetera
ET turned to entertain
Meant to bury the beurocracy
Of beautiful charities
Held in molding temples
Crowned bust beneath the surface
Theia is worn by the regal legion
As Nyx paints the faces with reason
Treason is a treat to the meek
The comedy held in hearing a song
For a tragedy of divine intervention
The oracle turns to face the gazing
Falcon forementioned seeing a intention
In a tense of augmented interactions
To sense the situation
In sincerely seeking
Such a rarity

*I wrote this piece with its foundation focused on the proclivity to abandon continuity for consistency while offering loose reference to some applicable allegories.

Title: abracad abcdefiguring (pt.1)

A b c
Such a delightful delicate dilemma
This delicious deluge of delusion
Delivering a deduced dedication
A design destined for decryption
Destruction of deception deliberate
An eclipse of ecstacy experienced
Each emulation of the sum eccentric
Excessive the exhibition of exchange
Each eye every I in me as you as we
Feeling free finding flares in the fog
Foundations and founts of fractals
Forced into a forum the fool
Good thing grace is granted gratuitous
My greedy ghost growing gracious
Hastened he hurts to help humanity
Having had it happened
Heeding he hopes
Heathens hoarding hate having hell
Investigate the infinite invitation
Involved I instigate and insist
Information is inside tangled within
I incite into you entangled incantations
Intepreted as insanity as instilled
Just juxtapositions of a jester
Jewels of just joined justice
Just us
Kneeling never needing a kind of any
Keen king knowledge Kabbalistic
A key to keep it kinetic allows creation
A kaleidoscope of keynotes kept in
Leaving us a lust for legitimacy
Left to the right of learning to live
Lies and lyres leading only to loss
Learning love is a language latent
Laterallus like a logarithm
Logging the rhythm
This majestic mystery so mystical
My imagination making maps
Meanings melting into the mirror
Mass and made ammends
Minding the miracle of mind
A mandala of mercurial memory
Needing to know I near the null
Nine not necessarily the next now
Noting the night and nothing new
Nefarious it forever is as it is not
Opportunity opposed by the opposite
Outside of the ordinary I open up
Oh the options opening origin
Organic oscillations of our operations
People pretending protect power
Persistent playing my punishment
Promethius promised pure intent
Probable parents pushed patterns
Preventing this progress productively
Possibilities pictured peripheral poetry
Question the equalities quality quickly
Quote a query of Qabbalism
A qualified quantum perspective ques
A quest of quite curious questioning
Reality reigns in reflections refraining
Really to just read records relatively
Respectively we rectify
A reconnaissance
A reminiscent Renaissance resides
Risky my reading of recollections

(Pt. 2)

...
Risidual redemption rising
Seeking satiety a symptomatic sin
Sadastic symbolism a synonym
Sacred scripts my sympathy
Synthetic signals so sublime
Set and setting something sensational
Sparatic to separate stochastic
Seeking no sympathy showing sines
The truth to the text is treacherous
It is a truly tedious tolerance of time
Tricky to test a technical tide and crest
Treason is still a testament
Telling a testimony takes money
Universally unanimity is understood
You ultimately understand ultimatums
Undergoing updates then if only
Using Uranus like urgency is urgent
Up to you I'll choose to undergo
A vendetta valid vicariously valued in
Verification of various views
Variables and valuable verses
Now to double you when we are
Where now near then who we were when
I wonder who will want to wander
What will was wished to ponder while
Wallowing my welcome was working
What was I saying
To who when why was where
Weather it is a western world wording
Why not want two bees to see dreams
Excited and experienced in expression
Experiment and expect explanation
Excessive this excerpt of mine
Expansion my expectation
I expect xenophobia to my xenium
Xanthos road to Xanadu once was red One and one to exist
You or who yeild to yesterday
I can yell yet not be yearning for yang
Yes you however you ever are
One oh oh one
This my zero

*one of my personal favorite pieces; a labor of effort dedicated to and from my imposter syndrome when it comes to the focus of my art. Though it has aged as somewhat immature in prose from my current perspective, it has maintained itself with little editing and is overall unchanged from its original draft written entirely in one sitting. I believe the content and themes provide themselves within exceptionally but often worry its erratic cadence outshines any form in the style or consistent narrative. Appreciate any and all reception or criticism always.

THE BEGINNING OF THE END OR JUST THE RETURN

At every dawn, just a fresh start.
At every dusk, just a new episode,
Of the adventure called life,
Comes to an end.
Everything begins with only
A seed, which
From the fertile soil sprouts. And, from
A bud, blossoms
A flower, where
The butterflies land.
Which in their brief

Leave only their charm.
Everything begins with only
An embryo, which in the
Mother's womb grows, and is born to
Begin his journey, his learning,
Towards the awakening, to discover that
He is only passing by.
That soon will return
To his origin, where it all
Had just begun.
Along the coming and going of life,
Everything passes by.
Only the earth remains absolute
In its plenitude.

In the abyss of unknown, countless boats sail
Nobody knows how they came to be, nobody seems to wail

One boat chasing other, which too is in a quest of chase
One milestone after another, continues this endless maze

Going ahead, going futher, distance remains the same
Realised it is only at the end, destination is just for the name

One boat envy other, the other one is already sunk
An anchor is marked on the water, to honour the respected drunk

Boats keep sailing, without any map
The herd is the confidence, a fanciful trap

There are some boats, that question the way
But is there anyone to answer? They keep sailing away

But courageous are those boats, they will find the bay
In the dark and gloomy night, they will become messangers of the day

But cowards will keep sailing, they have lent their steers
Still Few boats will look up in the sky, and will desire to follow the seers.

The thing that I fear is facing you...
The thing that I fear is obsessing you...
The thing that I fear is
Loving you...

For a while, I was thinking of why I fell for you...
I'm still not sure...

Maybe I fell first...
Might be then the reasons came...

it was all about impressing you...
Expressing me...
Addressing US...

The beat that I skipped
The first time we met...
And the heat fogged Every time we met...

Each time I see one I try seizing it...
But every time a strange fear gripped me...
All the time I managed to bury them...

Maybe I was afraid...
Afraid that u were in love with someone who isn't me...
Holding hands that weren't mine...
Smiled and blushed about something that wasn't about me...

I loved those moments our eyes levelled...
I never understood what was that,
You shot into my heart with your eyes...
And I will never trade these moments...

Cause I hope......
