The War Within.
I am as dark as my skin can be
And my eyes black as a crow's
I'm as weak as weak can be
From all of life's blows.
I carry the dirt of a hoe
Within my strong but tired heart
I've a burden as big as can know
For my world is full of hurt.
I carry good and bad memories
And my past seems to resurrect
All of my life's worst stories
Every time I try to forget.
I carry with me a dark shadow
That seems to only scare and haunt
I wish to end it with bow and arrow
But the enemy would just laugh and taunt
I have within me an enemy
That will only fall when I'm dead
It's only as complex as alchemy
Looking for gold only to find lead.
I'm pursued by a troubled past
And my back only seems to bend
All my strength drained to the last
Oh when will it ever end!

It is true there is widespread of immorality and oppression, and though their definitions vary across geographical locations and religions. What is being witnessed now in the world has traversed all boundaries.
Laws have been made and many are on their way, in hope to tackle this problem. But what has been achieved is successively creating new problems while temporarily hypnotizing one. New laws pave ways to new crimes.
A reality deliberately ignored is, humans are inclined toward commiting crime. Fortunately, they weigh the pros and cons.

“I love you so much, Nora.” Phoebe Shane sighed. “But honestly, I am tired of all kinds of dates -blind dates and not.”
Nora pouted her lower lip at her girlfriend and roommate and tried to make puppy eyes at her but Phoebe was not done.
“For starters, all the guys you pick out are just wrong. The last guy you set me up with was the Antichrist. He was rude, had bad eating manners and would not stop making nasty remarks about how I look. At the end of the torture, I still footed the bill.” Phoebe exclaimed gesturing angrily before slumping weakly on her bed while Nora bust out laughing.
Despite how long ago it had happen, Phoebe felt the same humiliation again on realizing that her date was a broke man but had eaten half the restaurant. She glared at her friend till she stopped laughing and covered up her laughter with minute coughs. She had not found the situation funny, that unforgettable date had left a dent in her bank account.
Of the two of them, Phoebe was the good girl, the responsible one, the easily embarrassed one and the girl who could not stand up for herself while Nora was the sass master, she was daring and lively.
“Okay. You have a point.” Nora Sanchez said trying to find another approach to get her friend on this particular date. “I am sorry. I got Billy from a dating site and he just seemed to be the perfect match for you. But I promise, you will love this guy. I know him personally, he is so cute and rich and he is not even an ex. He is not into me either and you two have a lot in common.”
Phoebe had stopped to listening to her after the first sentence. “Did you just say you got Freddie from a dating site? You told me you knew him!”
Nora's eyes widened at her slipup and she slowly raised her hands in the air, “Billy. I didn’t say dating site per say… I’m pretty sure I said dating insight.” She started running around their room as Phoebe angrily launched half her wardrobe at her. “Okay. You caught me. I am so sorry. I lied. It is just you are very picky and you already do not like half of my friends.” She confessed and Phoebe stopped her projectile activities.
“Apology not accepted. Have you seen half of the guys you move with? They all have criminal records.” She said with faux fury, eyeing her best friend.
Nora rolled her eyes at her friend’s exaggeration but did not argue with her, “I am sorry, Pheobs. I just want you to be happy. And I can’t get married if you are still single. Please, meet this new guy. His name is Justus and you will love him, you both have a lot in common. I won’t ask you on another date ever if this one fails.” Nora promised.
Phoebe considered the proposal and stared at Nora’s expression. Nora was never serious even in a matter of life and death, she was always frivolous but this time around, she actually looked serious.
Before Nora could add more convincing speeches, Phoebe raised her hand to stop her. “Nothing you say would make me go on this date.” Although you retiring from being a pain in my bum is an attractive proposal, you are not quite there yet.
“Fine, I will be there with you the whole time. If I notice that he makes you uncomfortable, I will be your damsel in shining armor.” Nora tried to convince her stubborn best friend and received a blank stare in return.
Tempting. Try again.
“Okay. About the Billy guy. I will share half the expenses. It was partially my fault after all.” Nora suggested again.
Bingo.
“Wrong. It was totally your fault but I might have to take you up on that offer.” Phoebe said eventually and Nora broke into a short dance of victory. “So where are we going?”
…
Night at Classy Fooders was the usual. Rihanna's latest song was playing softly in the background as a good looking waiter led Phoebe and Nora to their table.
“We are early.” Phoebe remarked to her friend but Nora was not listening to her because she was busy trying to charm her way into the good looking waiter’s pants. Shouldn’t it be the other way around? Phoebe asked

Phoebe asked
herself before dismissing the waiter to Nora’s disappointment.
“Where is our date?” Phoebe asked again.
“You mean your date. He should be here any minute.” Nora answered absent mindedly. Phoebe shook her head, just great, her friend was abandoning her at the cliff of nervousness to drool over a guy that was probably married.
She didn’t hear Nora's “Here he comes.” as her eyes are locked on a pair of familiar blue eyes. You are kidding me. What is he doing here? Her eyes widened on realizing he was heading towards her table and she quickly offered a silent prayer to God. Please don’t let it be him. I will gladly take on another Billy but please not him.
Her prayer was obviously not answered and a deep baritone greeted them, “Hi, ladies.”
“Hi, Justus.” Nora greeted back making a show of gushing over how gorgeous he looked before winking at a stone cold but internally anxious Phoebe. “This is my friend, the one I told you about -Phoebe. And Phoebe, this is the Justus Hood. You know, the CEO of ArtHood. That’s right, he has no criminal record and he is a celebrity.” She said whispering the last part into Phoebe’s ears.
“I am Justus.” Justus smiled and offered his hand for a handshake.
I know. She made that clear and I am not dumb.
“Pleased to meet you, Justus.” She said with a plastic smile.
Nora smiled, seemingly pleased with herself before excusing herself to obviously go and bother the unsuspecting waiter for the rest of the night.
“I am so glad that we could meet again.” Justus said as soon as Nora was out of earshot. He could not have forgotten her if he tried, her pained glare had haunted him in his sleep and he knew what she was thinking but what excuse could he give? He had not been on his best behavior.
Phoebe wanted to ask him, “Is bad mouth, rudeness and superciliousness something that CEO mothers teach their babies in the womb? Like you know your baby is going to grow up to become a company’s CEO and so…”
“You probably hate me now.” Justus said at her silence.
She rewarded him with her signature blank stare, “Hate is a strong word.” But you are not farfetched.
He nodded in understanding, “I want to apologize for what happened the other day. I am so sorry and I have no excuse.” He said making Phoebe look at him in surprise.
He had bumped into her at his biggest rival company, All Things Art, after a meeting that had not ended in his favor. She had dropped her files at the impact and due to his horrible mood, he had insulted and embarrassed her in the presence of everybody present.
“I guess we can start over.” Phoebe answered with a small smile after a while and they waved over a waitress to take their orders.
…
“What do you want?” Andy asked with a sinister smile. She was not over what had happened forty years ago and she certainly did not want to start her day with a trip to the past. “What are you doing here? What do you want?” she screamed.
Barbara smiled like she had all the time in the world, “Even at age sixty, you still throw tantrums like a spoilt child.”
Andy’s eyes darkened. “Do you expect me to welcome you with open arms. It has been more than forty years. Forty. Forty years since you and your good-for-nothing husband threw me out of your house and killed my baby.”
“Oh pish posh! You should have known better when you were bed-warming with my husband.” Barbara retorted. “Anyway, I am not here to reminisce old days with you either.” She continued as calmly as ever, “I have come to tell you to tell your grandson to stay away from my grand daughter.”
For the first time in her life, her grand daughter had refused to listen to her. She had told Phoebe over and again to stay clear of the Justus boy but she was adamant. She had tried to threaten Justus but it all fell on deaf ears. They were happy together but she knew their happiness had a dead end. Andy was her measure of last resort and it was easier than facing the truth. She was not ready to face the truth. Not yet

She had never seen her lose her calm once and she did the evilest things without shouting or batting an eyelid… like how she threw her out of her house.
“How is your grand daughter any of my concern? My Justus is a grown man, capable of making his own decisions. I am not going to meddle in his affairs for you.”
“You know their relationship is not right, Andy. He is the son of the child you had for my late husband. We have to stop them.” Barbara tried again feeling desperate.
“Don’t patronize me, Barb. We are not in this together, I don’t care about their relationship. If you do not want them together, tell them the truth and stop them yourself. Tell them you are a murder and you killed my daughter.”
If only, Andy. If only. Barbara thought.
…
“You are wrong, girlfriend. Cole is exactly the kind of man you need. He is a great cook, you are a terrible cook, he is not in jail and he has no criminal record like all your exes. He is just the perfect change you need.” Phoebe advised Nora as they arranged her dining table.
Phoebe had invited Justus over and he was bound to arrive any minute. They had been at it for months now and she was convinced he was the one. In the first few months of their relationship, she had opened her own PR Agency and ArtHood had been her first client. He made her happy and it was not just about the money. He brought out the best in her and… there was also the other thing.
“Cole is too uptight, girl.” Nora and the waiter from Classy Fooders had been going out and he was the first of Nora’s boyfriends that Phoebe approved of.
Before Phoebe can say what’s on her mind, her doorbell rings. “Whatever you will figure it out.” She said quickly before rushing into her room to powder her face and rushing back out, “How do I look? Good? Cool? Okay? What?”
Andy rolled her eyes, “You look like Phoebe. Now open the damn door and let the Greek god in.”
Phoebe giggled and took in a shaky breath before opening the door.
Instead of Justus, her grandmother- Barbara walked in, followed by her mother- Jane, Justus mother- Kelly, a woman that looked like Kelly’s elder sister and then a confused Justus trailed behind them.
Phoebe quietly shut the door behind them and followed them into her sitting room. She and Nora shared a look of confusion and surprise. She studied her mother and Justus’ mother, was it her or did they look so much alike? She wondered what other prank her grandmother was about to pull because she was the only one against their relationship and for no good reason.
“Your grandma is ready to come clean. You might want to sit down for this.” The lady who looked like Kelly’s elder sister spoke in her thick American accent. Justus introduced her as his grand mother and Phoebe marveled, she looked younger and she had beautiful skin. But something about that statement did not sit right with Phoebe. She glanced at Barbara briefly and she noticed her grandmother looked uncomfortable.
“This better be good. Y’all are ruining our dinner for this.” Justus said.
Barbara knew they were all clueless on why they were here. She had only told them it was urgent because she knew she had to tell the truth now that she had the courage.
“What are you waiting for, Barb? Tell your precious grand daughter why you are against her relationship. Tell her what you and your husband did to me.” Andy mocked.
“You knew my grandmother?” Justus asked the question everyone else was dying to ask.
“Andy and I go way back. I met her when she was just an orphan that escaped from Juvie. I really loved you, Andy. I took you as my own, I cared for you and gave you shelter and so you can imagine my shock when I caught you in bed with my late husband. | A Poet True |
If I had wings and poet's skill
A Muse at hand and time to kill
I'd scribe for you such noble verses
About the beauty Nature nurses
Inside a bud, on bough with leaf
Where wonderful is the motif
I'd take my pen, like Bard with quill
Pour forth a stream, sublime and still
Place pleasant poem on the pages
A song of love that never ages
As old as moon and starry host
Or sea that creeps along the coast
If I could be the dew at dawn
Lay down like jewels on leafy lawn
I'd sparkle with the Muse's magic
Rewrite those rhymes of truth so tragic
Have Hector and Achilles yield
Bid both lay down their sword and shield
If I composed like kindly Keats
Laid lines where earth and heaven meets
My poems would be less pedantic
They'd bloom like rustic rose romantic
Then I would be a poet true
And I would touch the heart of you.

In a river it sank the old man's boat,
He gave up of everything even his cloak,
For i forgive, but i don't forget,
The way love's paving; the new road he has met.
As i ascend to darkness in a way
That many would seem skeptical to go,
But as i am i don't fear to lay,
In this river that gives water to a crow.
In a river it sank the old man's boat,

Does it happen to you?
When everything around turns silent
and all you can hear is yout heart beating hastily,
scared and afraid that the silence would eat you up.
When you don't know what to do or where to go,
like you've lost your senses and directions.
When all you feel is fear,
while you shiver in the lonesome night.
Does it happen to you?
When even your screams are inaudible,
you shout at the top of your lungs,
but all you get is a burning throat.
When it seems like even your body is fading away,
into the abyss, choking and pulling you towards it.
Does it happen to you?
When cheery moments suddenly turns blue,
smiles suddenly turns into horrifying memories.
when the pasts lurks onto you like some centipede,
and you find yourself standing in nowhere.
Does it happen to you?

You’re drunk.
It’s a birthday party and everybody’s dancing. You have drunk off your limits and now you’re searching for a room to relax a bit.
You finally find a room and the door’s already open.
But you see there’s a girl in there. She’s holding her forehead with both her hands like she has committed a dark sin.
Maybe she drank, too.
‘Excuse me. Do you mind if I sit in here? Actually, there’s too much noise in the hall.’
‘Sure.’
You sit beside her on the same bed and venture what’s wrong with her.
‘I’m drunk and it’s my first time,’ she says, mulls over something, and continues, ‘I shouldn’t have had so much.’
And, as she says that, the light goes off.
The power supply’s cut.
‘Oh, my.’ She mumbles inside her trembling lips, picks herself up, and sits afar from where she was sitting earlier.
‘My cell phone’s in the hall,’ she says, again within herself.
She’s not afraid of darkness. She is afraid of a man in darkness.
You sense the gravity of the situation and leave the room, straight away. And a few minutes later, you return with a flashlight on.
‘May I now come in, madam?’ You say in a sarcastic tone.
‘Haha, how sweet. Come on in.’ She says to you, with a small, warm smile.
‘Not all men are same.’ She says, this time to her inner-self.
"Build a character in such a way that even in a dark room, a girl feels safe with you."

Trust
For a friend
To run past
His friend
Within trees
To reach
A stream
It shows his trust
That
He won't stab him

The brethren of evil walk the earth,
They corrupt its residents and swallow their worth.
Their hairs are long and their mouths have fangs,
They are wise and their words seem to be of fartherlands.
Their motive is to become strong,
They hide their emotions and deepen their bonds.
They shall succumb to any level for the sake of their goals,
To succeed they will deal with their souls.
They manipulate the masses and alter the truths,
They are smart and form their groups.
They spread darkness in the name of revolution,
And kill dreams for evolution.
Are they evil? Are they wise?
Who knows? Maybe their ideals will form a paradise.
The freedom binds and the reality reminds us,
They don't lie but nor are they truth speakers, as they change stories and we become seekers.
They cause us misery and we withstand it,
We show them kindness and they misunderstand it.
This is just illogical,
This cannot be possible,
They just laugh and grin,
We have become completely blind within.
The world is cruel and the innocents drown,
They wear the crowns and their whip just binds around.
To keep up we need to be changing,
But what shall we do, our real self is fading.
The relationship of these groups is based on trust,
The trust which will eventually turn to dust.
When the two sides are interwined,
The two of us are left behind,
Everyone knows about our situation but this is becoming an addiction,
I know we will all eventually become a flower of corruption.

Title: O' Lost laughing coffin
PART-1
Desire Increase from the shedding blood, a word, a momentum, and all the life’s choices would circle a woman. A Woman, who is deep in young blood, made a choice, to be cast out of heaven to live with her ancestors in hell, who is this woman? What’s behind the cloak, and behind the mask? A mask so rooted in hiding the face, that you probably would ask, but no answer would you know.
7:00 AM
– Oh that’s true isn’t it? Yes, that is the truth, but how come? Voice’s inspiring me, but none seem to let go of him? I may as well be a lucky bastard. – Said Jade, a young woman from London’s suburbs, in the outskirts of Havering, talking to herself. Didn’t slept since Yesterday, and ended up going an all Night awake for she’s a programmer, and a skilled one even, though she is just a young student at a school, with not many friends, or even a single one, she is, In the internet, one of the most famous programmers, one even might say she’s a hacker, but how come? She passes all night and all day looking for ways, looking for means, looking for tools, looking to leafs of inspiration to hack. But no matter. She had to sleep, for tomorrow it’s exam day, and even she, with no worrying over it, had reserved a time for studying, but it’s already 7:00 AM, it’s already tomorrow, how can she study? How can she, write and observe the subject? In a nearly scientific way of thinking? She couldn’t, she said she would memorize all of It in 2 hours before going to sleep, but now? Now? She couldn’t:
– Damn, it’s already 7:05 AM, I have to go – So she prepared herself, and after that, she took her cloak, and her pockets? Full of the keys, the wallet, and her phone. And went. Getting out of the house was quickly, but getting out of the neighborhood was more difficult, not because of some sloppy gangster, or some fool tying to rob her, as her neighborhood was full of such mysteries but instead, it was because the train, where she should go was not waiting, and to go to London, was a rather odd experience. All roads lead to London town, but she wasn’t in the best of times, and as such she hurried, she rans and asks for forgiveness after she collides with a merchant, and destroys half of the store (Or so it seemed) as running in the deep streets of Havering was dark and poisoned to the mind, not only by the smoke but by the snow, not only by the Crystal that it glances the eye, but also by the people there, full of distrust and sorrow, as it was poor Havering, a dark place for dark people (Or so it seemed). She stops running and says she can’t go any longer running, the feast of bits and bytes were cold but she could turn anything into a hot meal, nevertheless it was cold, and she couldn’t be waiting any longer for the train, as she was already there in 15 minutes. 15 Minutes running, who could tell she was this athletic? No one, for everyone says she was nothing but a lousy mouse of the library, a nerd-looking girl from the computers, but I guess everything Is better when motives are in higher demand. But while waiting for the train, almost a minute before she decided leaving, a strange person appears in the tracks, she’s smiling at her, and says: “Won’t be long after you join me” – She screams for help, a human being is now at stake, but everyone seems normal, and everyone stays calm, someone asks “Who are you talking about”, and she says that a girl is in the tracks, a laugh and a moment the person says “But there is nothing there” – There was nothing there.

Title - Dear Men
Dear men,
Do you remember when the first time on a bicycle, you were trying to ride?
And you fell, got injured and started crying because it was the pain you couldn’t hide.
So someone picked you up and scolded that men don’t weep,
No matter what the situation is, the tears inside you have to keep!
So that boy wiped up his eyes and tried to be strong as much as he could be,
But your pillow which is wet every day, can’t they see?
Do you remember the time when you were playing with some dolls?
So someone forced you to go outside to play cricket or football.
Or the time when you wore that pink shirt on your birthday?
So your friends mocked you as they thought feminine colours take masculinity away.
In that mockery and discrimination, your choices were ransacked,
But why do they ask now that you wear only white and black?
Do you remember the first time you said someone that you feel alone?
You feel like happiness is getting lost and you are sliding into depression zone!
So they ignored you saying you should be strong as men can’t be weak,
Don’t cry and be tough as damsels only want those who have macho physique!
And then you cried in the corners as telling someone you couldn’t dare,
But why they question your suicide and why your problems you didn’t share?
Speak out! Speak out before the world is short of dry pillows,
Before someone else is forcefully handed a blade of willows!
The suicide rates of men were always higher than that of women,
As society makes us machines of earning, dehumanising us each second!
We can only win the war with patriarchy if every gender comes together,
As equality is the only way to get out and it will be forever!

Curse of being a girl
The father is weeping,
Elders are disenchanted.
Mother was still unconscious,
Woke up with happiness and seeing the little child, heavily panted.
It was the day of misery,
Everything was doomed and melancholic.
A girl child was born there,
Everyone was turned a lunatic.
Killing her would be a risky task,
So what should be done they thought.
Throwing her up in the trash is the safest,
To get rid of her without getting caught.
The night grew darker,
And so did their intent.
Picked up the poor little creature,
Her painful cries couldn't make their mind bent.

A bumble bee,
Flying for million fields,
Came across a musky-pastel,
Immobile, gleaming glee.
The Bumble bee,
Sprinted before, anyone could taste
The rich ambrosia.
Soul pumping out,
Stood in awe and owes,
To the musky-pastel
Crimson red floweret.
Angst to his dismay.
He fluttered his wings,
In suspicious,
That maybe this,
Beauty turns out to
Be a beast.
Slow steps and ,
His valour took him
To the abstruse dainty,
Curved
Floral leaf Corolla.
And kissed, with all
His life.
Esse of nectar, his
Tongue ever soupçon.
Now, he couldn't
Stand,
For him,
It was his dream,
To sip
From the valley unknown.
Still buzzing and
Looking for it.
To taste it more ,
Often.
But suddenly, his
Breath started to choke.
He couldn't live or die anymore.
So, in pain
The nectar took his life.
Because every beautiful,
Face.
Is dipped in poison.
Now,
You decide
