The Deal: A tale of betrayal
Part 6
Dr. Edwin reaches the Institution on the fifth day after the incidence since everyone was aware of his arrival beforehand they prepared all the papers regarding the patient but he refuses to see them. He wants someone who looked after these patients to guide him to the rooms before he reads about them anything. He wants to form his own opinion and reach his own conclusion by observing them and not borrowing what has been done by his predecessors. Strangely he doesn't just want to see the patients that he has been assigned to but wants to have a glance at every single one in the hospital. Everyone thinks it's odd but nobody has any objections to it, so he gets what he wants. By doing this Dr. Edwin takes a general note of how patients are categorized and how they are treated across the Institution. That will give him an idea if the case he will see is actually peculiar or is it just that management is at fault. After looking at all the other categories of patients finally, Nadia guides him through first and second-floor patients, these are prone to self-harm and can even be dangerous to others at times. Nadia thoroughly and passionately talks about each and every one of them and Dr. Edwin notices that the right procedure is in place and the staff is well trained. That only means that the case will be something worth looking at. Finally, he stands in front of the door of the last room on the second floor but with horror, he notices it's empty. He looks questioningly at Nadia but Nadia replies to him with an apologetic smile. "I'm sorry Dr. I forgot to mention she's in the piano room, there's a piano tutor here every day for the patients who are capable of learning such but she loves to listen to it so she just sits there and listens.”
Looks of concern pass his face. "But the patients in this category aren't allowed to mingle with.." he starts to but the calm look of Nadia's face makes him drop his concern. She seemed to him so far as someone who knew her job well and he decides to trust her for that. Besides, doctor Philips would have made the decision so he has to take it in his stride.
"Can I see her there?" He asks Nadia, an open surrounding will give him a better chance to observe her. Nadia shows Dr. Edwin the piano room and Raquel sitting in a corner in a comfortable chair since her wounds are still healing. Dr. Edwin's eyes almost fall out of their sockets from a single glance at what he has been told is Miss Raquel Haggle, the room seems to whirl around his head and breathing only comes when he decides to do it consciously.

The smile virus
Smiling is infectious,
You catch it like a flu,
When someone smiled at me today
I started smiling too.
I passed around the corner
And someone saw my grin
When he smiled I realised
I had passed it on to him.
I thought about that smile
Then I realise its worth,
A single smile,just like mine
Could travel round the earth
So if you see a smile begin
Don't leave it undetected
Lets start an epidemic quick,
And get the world infected!

Mani stepped out of the stair cases and went outside to get his very slippers but unfotunately he wore the wrong one as he has counted "9th pair from the "paan shop" but the time was past and the arrangement was different "

Mani stepped out of the stair cases and went outside to get his very slippers but unfotunately he wore the wrong one as he has counted "9th pair from the "paan shop" but the time was past and the arrangement was different "
Someone saw Mani wearing his belongings and shouted
"Dhoti wala is here catch him "

Letters of the dead
Letter from her 3
🔸To the guy i hate most🔸
You are right. I am a fraud. I mean, wasn't all the time we spend together one? some nights i even wonder if you really loved me, or if you were torturing me. I don't know for what exactly but i can't even try to understand you. who walks into a girl's life when he is the one who took away her dad? You took him away; my dad, my hero. I miss his touch, how he holds me, i lost his smell. I have tried to conserve his scent, we never washed any of his clothes. But as time went there was no trace of him. I miss how he fed me all my life long. I miss his voice, his laugh. I can't imagine his smile, every memory i have of him is gone. And you are asking about our memories, your memories. I can't even remember most of my dad. All i remember is how he felt that day; cold, rigid, distant. He was lying there lifeless. That is all i have in my head.

Letters of the dead
Letter from him 4
🔸To the girl i loved, once🔸
It is my turn ha? That was all there was in my head before you walked into my life. Your dad that day; he was lying in the ground, i tried to save him but i was just a kid,i was scared, i didn't know what to do. You know what your dad did that day? he took my hand; i saw something in his eyes, there was no hatred in them, they were kind, beautiful. His hands were warm, firm, i still wonder how they can be that warm and comforting while he was dying. I always wonder how a dying man can have all that love. I guess i will never know. Then he told me something.." son, it is okay. It is going to be okay, i just need you to do me a favor, tell my daughter how much i love her. And get her lotus flower for me, she will know what it means.." . I wondered how he knew we might cross paths, i guess there are a lot of things a dying man knows about. i never have forgiven my self. I asked my self why he thought it was going to be okay, because it never was. And then you came into my life and i understood what he meant, it felt like he sent you to me, then i started feeling okay, believing life wasn't so cruel after all. I guess, i shouldn't have wavered. I should have stood to my belief, then i could have saved us both form all this. And since i have told you his last words, here is the lotus flower your dad sent for you.
Always your shadow

🔸To the guy who sent me flowers🔸
Thanks for the flowers. You made me have some of his, our memories. Lotus flower is our favorite. How strong and undefeated the flower is, how it is a beauty in the desert. What it means is he is always with me and me with him, how i should never forget to notice and admire the beauty in the dark. I guess, he wanted to tell me to forgive you because he did. Thanks for giving me this piece of him.

As your name slowly fades away from my heart
And feelings I had for you are receding
I can't help feel a little lonely some nights
Because your smile is still lingering
As the thought of you starts to leave my mind
And your eyes just aren't as warm anymore
I think I've come to realize
That I don't feel the same anymore
You used to be my pill to every problem
You used to sing me to sleep
But I lost your heart and I don't know where
I feel like I don't know you anymore
From the sleepless nights and being teary eyed
Staying up to just listen to your voice
To feeling like my heart is being ripped out
Everytime your message comes.
And I know I may not have been the "One"
But you sure made me feel so.
And when you told me that was not true
The castles I built came crashing through.
And with those broken walls I was left alone
To heal what was left of my soul
And promise myself not to fall again
In this ruse called love no more.
How weirdly cruel is this world
Where the one's who can love
Can't find love. While the ones who can't
Fall madly in it.
We both said that we loved eachother
But your love just wasn't mine.
I can't hurt my heart anymore
So please take these words as goodbye

LOVE DEMANDS
Part 1
The atmosphere outside was cool, Miss Rosie was sitting on the chair napping sweater. She gave a glance at the clock it was half past eleven, she was waiting for Easton her husband patiently.
It was the season of winter, on the right of the sofa which she sat was a glowing fire which kept the nature cosy, Rosie wore a light pink color- furry coat, her hairs were tied at the backs still some think locks were on her sides, the winter made her cheeks turn pinkish color.
It was the second time she made the tea, not fo keeping herself warm, but to kill time by taking it slowly sip by sip. Finally the door bell rang, a faint smile was carried with rosie till the door.
"Hey sweety welcome home" she said taking his laptop bag, "why are you so late ?" She asked her voice calm and smooth
"Well, I was supposed to reach by morning but this weather ..."
Rosie interuppted him ," Forget it, you are sure to be hungry I made roasted goose, change and come to the table"
There was something odd as Easton never seemed so happy in a while. It was noticed by Rosie too.She arranged the table with deliciously smelling goose roasted with knife stabbed on back, with toppings of cilantro .
"How was your trip darling " Rosie said pouring a glass of wine .
"Great, hectic though."
"I had to tell you something .."
"Later my dear, let me have food ", Esmay said traring the goose in two halfs .
" Well! Did you meet Louisa there?" She sounded a bit defensive .
"No " he said quavering
" Well well! " her countanence had changed, taking a bit of food she glanced easton vividly .
" I have a good news for you, I am pregnant", she said smiling as easton.
"OH ! nice wow " he seemed confused was it an occasion to be happy or sad he continued ,"I wanted to say that.... "
" Lets celebrate I will get you some more ice",she said and went to the kitchen.

In this despair...
Deaf hills, listen to our voices
The angry birds have slaughtered our hopes
They have turned our home against us
Our hopeless heart sits under weeping sun;
Because our love detest their hatred hearts
"Love with beautiful thorns;
Bite feelings into thin air
Even, the wood roared at us
So we slept on the forest bosom"
Bless our love;
Oh mysterious leaves with sweet charms
Heal our fainting heart, before death comes
Even though the tales of future are pranks
And our dreams saddens their hearts
Huddling together,
Among meek wolves with starved soul
They are famished but we taste sour
They mock our handicapped love
But dear soil, reward our lame pains
In this despair,
Wet our rainless sky
Shelter our sick love
Let broken bone speak;
Before they raid our innermost strengths

Title: ART
Art was always fascinating to me,
it left me mesmerised,
because the artist may come and go,
but the art was immortalized.
On walls, on paper, or in someone's moves and eyes,
art is always a sight to see,
because even if the artist's body was trapped,
their soul was set free.
To some art is a refuge,
for some it is a passion,
for some it is as refreshing and surprisingly,
as a life after reincarnation.
People,all from different backgrounds,
bought together under the roof of art,
art is a religion is itself,
this stuck to me as its best part.
After thinking too much,
contemplating for too long,
I decided to set foot in the world of art,
that's how my first poem came along.

Once I walked by a little stream,
Peeping houses very keen,
My little house was full,
nausiatic, foul and dull.
I carried with me along ,
Dirty shoes and logs of wood.
My mother told me not to wrong,
Just Throw them in the woods .
My stomach was hungry,
It made me angry,
I bought a bun from a passer by
On eating I thought I would die .
Came across a little tot
When I was on my way,
I saw him picking up the bun
That I had thrown on the way.
I saw a girl barefoot
Waking without her sparefoot,
I bend and gave her boots,
That I once called a foul noob.
Then my lord I saw man ,
Who was shivering in the cold
I could not help but give him logs,
then I walked away in bold.
Do we ever stop and think,
What Almighty gave to us
What clothes we have
What food we eat ,
Millions of people there by
Are just left alone to die.

The Deal: A tale of betrayal
Part 7
Edwin takes the support of the door frame. An invisible hand seems to have grabbed him by his throat. Weakness, like barbed wires, runs through his legs, and boulders of heaviness sit on his chest. His eyes burn, looking into the sun of painful reality and seeing the seemingly unreal and unimaginable. A cruel knot tightens in his throat choking him. His shock clearly shows itself on his face and Nadia can't help but look perplexed at such an expression. He looks like he has seen an unexpected funeral of someone he loves.
Raquel sits in the corner, quietly enjoying the soothing tunes on the piano. Everyone in the piano room is familiar with her so no one takes her as an intruder, rather most people consider her the sole audience and focus on playing better for her. Even the piano teacher had to agree that Raquel's presence and her cheerful words at the end of an individual’s turn had greatly helped people learn.
The summer season is already in full swing and the bandages on Raquel's hand irritates her. The room is too densely packed for the fan to be of any use. Sweat runs down Raquel's back, traces her backbone giving her a chilly sensation on a hot day. There is a very clingy smell in the hall; a mixture of sweat, colognes, food, medicines, and old wood from the chairs which makes the air feel heavier than it actually is. And on top of it fly and mosquitoes buzz around her head making it hard for her to relax. Despite the pain in her hands, the interruptions by the flies and mosquitoes drive her so mad that she tries to swat them away, swinging her hand across her face, with her ears being her only aid to know where to hit.
Dr. Edwin has had enough to look; his face has taken a crimson hue from the blood that has been pooled in there. Without saying a word he leaves. Nadia stays behind unable to understand what was going on. So she decides that she should go on with her duty. Dr. Edwin sits in his cabin clutching his stress ball and pressing it hard, almost with a conviction that if he does so hard enough he would un-see what he has seen. He throws the ball away finally in exasperation. Then he hides his face in his hand and runs his hand up to his hair every once in awhile dishevelling them. He could look at his reflection in the glass cabin, the sullen face, and messed up hair and he realizes that he looks exactly what he feels inside; messed up. Imagine a beautiful flower in your garden. You love it and you take care of it. And then one day you find out that someone plucked that flower and crushed it under his cruel feet. You feel hurt and disappointed. You feel angry, you feel lost and you feel inexplicably sad. That's what he has been feeling like, seeing his old friend here in the Institution as a patient.
Raquel and Edwin were together in the college. They were of the same batch. They sat together, ate together, made their assignments together, and took the punishment for each other. When Edwin was low he knew he could count on Raquel and the same was true for Raquel too, even though they were never best friends so to speak of or even romantically involved. They had their own partners and yet if something went wrong in their life they would turn to each other with trust and understanding that they had each other’s back. That sentiment was mutual.
They lost touch a few years back when Edwin decided to help people around the world, a decision that was opposed by everyone; everyone but Raquel. She was the only one who served him up with both the emotional and financial support to make that leap of faith. She was the one who encouraged him to work on his dreams and to threaten him to not go too far in his ambition so as to forget himself.

The Deal: A tale of betrayal
Part 1
Nadia yawns loudly stretching her arms and legs to the point that they make a cracking sound, her mouth stretches wide open to her ears despite her valiant efforts to not yawn. It's three in the night and it’s deadly…

The Price Is Paid
Eyes show. It is all in them. Kindness, cruelty, love, hatred, relief, pain, courage... fear. How impressive, when a colored eye—be it brown or green, blue or black—seems so colorless when terror cripples it. How magnificent, when a look at yellow, possessive eyes takes one’s fear to a height so tall that swallowing becomes a test to the throat. Danro never remembers seeing other than aggression and bravery in Blacky’s yellow eyes. Affection sometimes; after all, Danro has been its home. Its pair took getting used to. Cross the line and that marks your final sip of life, they warn. And black fur clothing it from head to toe accentuates his need to tear lives asunder.
Hadly, however, possessed a different presence. His faintly gray eyes betray the tender spot within it, friendly and warm. Gray fur, only his legs white like snow, blazes under a shiny sun as if it is going to be a charming day. But by no means do the kind colors and eyes seduce Danro into assuming it calmer than Blacky. His growls are breezes to shiver the marrows of his prey. His gaze glares at their souls.
Who’d have thought those two small puppies he found cuddled behind a mountain of leaves to become his guardians? They were all thick furs, harmless. But the woods shaped them; hours with an empty stomach taught them to hunt, days with hungry beasts taught them to bite. Limited choices are one’s savior, one might presume, but they owe it all to this boy, Danro: a buffy kid with fluffy jawline, big nose, and kinky hair. He took them, fed them, protected them. His cave sheltered the dusks, and his deft hands urged fire from sticks to heat the cold darkness. Rabbits and cats meant their survival, and soon when the wolves’ jaws toughened, deers were added—lots of flesh, and a large kill gags the wolves with lives.
Their faith was tested when he has brought dog puppies to their little pack. Envy. Blacky wanted no more than to flex his teeth in their veins, Hadly even worse. Their bloody desire, though, lasted short; he still fondled Blacky under the ears and tendered Hadly warmly. The twelve dogs now admit Blacky as alpha and fear Hadly no less.
Presumably, more puppies are whining, some abandoned and some lost.
The woods has no favorites; everybody but the strong dies. At night, when darkness flutes owls’ screeches and snakes’ sizzles and crickets’ swishes, he favors a slumber with an eye open. Safety is always in question—it has to be. Though he closes the cave with a huge stone, the circle boulder rolls only once and stubbornly grips the earth, leaving it ajar. Other wolves can slip in and make a pond of his blood. Snakes can skid past his guard of wolves to sneak a fang in, and the unspeakable befall the victims of these slimy predators, he has seen. He fears them most and wonders if a hawk or two will befriend him. Quite the gang he has formed, and their number helps to repel most dangers but in doubt to ensure abundant life.
Even sleeping is sometimes his enemy. When his eyelids shut and doze off, he exists in another world. A smiley, bearded man comes, sticks some sticks together, and rubs them in a way. As the rubbing speeds up, the man’s beam grows strange. Is he smiling or biting his teeth hard?
Smoke then begins, fire following. The fire gnaws all the stick and then the hands. The man keeps rubbing the melting flesh together. The smell resembles a piece of rabbit Danro burns over the flames for dinner. His beaming teeth chitters to the jaws.
Danro flees the spot, his eyes colorless, and a woman meets him. Her curved lips house patience. She curls arms around him, and whispers, "Mami has been bad, please forgive her part..." He exhales at ease at that moment. Her hug then girds him too tight and knocks the air out of his chest.

Craving
I've never imagined my life without you in it.
You've been there, every second, every minute.
For, when you aren't there,
I look for you
with madness, everywhere.
I'm obsessed with you
I won't agree, but yeah,
it's true.
I crave for you,
your eyes
where I see my paradise
your arms
that make me warm
your ear
when I whisper
your nose
when you're close
your palms
on my hips
your lips
on my lips.
With you, I feel the connection
of love and attraction.
You are my love,
you are my life.
If you cannot be mine,
I'll take a knife.
I'll hit you on your head
and give you a stab.
Cut you into pieces,
stuff you in a bag.
Baby, I'll keep you safe,
with me, always.
Not in my memory,
instead, in my treasury.

Love Mistake
I've made a mistake, you reminded me,
An insufferable heartbreak that've grown stronger each day,
An overwhelming ache that've shown what was it like to be betrayed,
Just shut your eyes and sleep the long night away.
So numb, you've made me the person I've become,
The countless tears evaporated by the years,
You were too busy chasing meteors in the sky for wishes,
Never notice me back when I fell into a deep abyss,
Never realise my knees were ripped apart with wounds,
But that was okay because you were my only one,
As I continued to run after you without making a sound.
My world was obstreperous, yours were a paradise,
So incompatible but yet it was fine,
Maybe I was too diverted in smiling at your shines,
Never expected that my emotions were on the line,
You were mine, until the end of my heartbeat,
And I drowned alone in this agony game of repeat.

TITLE: JOURNEY LOOP
A WOMEN OF AGE AROUND 70-80 YEARS WAS STANDING ON A PLATFORM OF AUTO RICKSHAW STAND. SHE WAS WAITING FOR A RICKSHAW WHICH WOULD TAKE TO HER NEXT DESTINATION. SHE HAD RAN FROM AN OLDAGE HOUSE, AS SHE HATED THE HOSPITALITY OFFERED BY THEM.
GRANNY HAD ALREADY CROSSED HER LIMITS OF LIFE. SHE HAD NO HOUSE TO GO. SHE WAS TIRED OF SWEATING UNDER THE 40^CELSIUS SUN OF NOW A DAYS. WHEN SHE WAS YOUNG, SHE HAD CONFRONTED USUALLY BELOW 35^CELSIUS SUN.
OLD WOMEN BADLY DESERVED A HOUSE NOW. SHE HAD A VERY POOR EARNING ONCE. SHE HAD A HECTIC LIFE AND THREE SONS. THOSE SONS WHO HAD ONCE ATE THE EARNINGS OF THEIR MOTHER HAD THROWN OUT HER FROM THEIR RESPECTIVE HOUSES TO A OLD, CHEAP OLD AGE HOME LATER. THOSE THREE HAD TURNED HEADACHE FOR HER FOR ALL THREE TENSES.
FINALLY A RICKSHAW CAME DOWN THE STREETS TO THE STAND, A YOUNG MAN AGED ABOUT 23-24 YEARS HAD DRIVEN THE RICKSHAW. HE SAW A GRANDMOTHER WHO WAS SWEATING HARD UNDER THE HOT SUN, DESPERATELY WAITING FOR SOME SHELTER.
HE THEN SMILING PICKED UP A BOTTLE FROM THE SIDE OF HIS SEAT AND GAVE IT TO OLD WOMEN TELLING, "GRANNY, TAKE A SEAT BEHIND ME. I THINK YOU ARE VERY THIRSTY OF THIS LIFE. I COULD READ YOUR MIND THAT YOU WANT SOME SHELTER." GRANNY'S FACE LIT LIKE LIGHTS AND SHE GAVE A BEAUTIFUL SMILE TO THE BOY AND ANSWERED, "THANK YOU MY CHILD A LOT". YOUNG MAN REPLIED, "COME WITH ME MY GRANNY, I WILL TAKE YOU TO MY HOME. THINK THAT IT IS YOUR OWN, YOU ARE SAME LIKE MY GRANNY, SHINING BRIGHTLY, BEING PROUD OF HER LIFE." OLD LADY SMILED AGAIN TO HIM AND THE RICKSHAW TOOK A RESTART AND SPEED ITSELF AND SUDDENLY IT VANISHED LEAVING BEHIND GLITTER OF STARS!
