I loved to play I loved to roam,
All my friends felt like home.
We shared our food and our toys,
All were there, girls and boys.
I didn't care how I looked,
Whether my hand was dirty or my foot.
Puberty came and I grew up,
Reality hit me like a truck.
I was ugly and dark,
That's what my friends called me in the park.
I was no more part of their group,
No fun was left with no more of exciting whoops.
Only jokes were now made on me,
Nothing was same how it used to be.
My name was changed now from Jim to black,
I should not be around the whites was my new tag.
Even teachers saw me with vain,
It all became so depressing I felt like jumping in front of a train.
Neither my mom nor my dad,
Could help me with the problem I had.
They told me this is my fate,
My skin color , for years, have been receiving this hate.
The girl I fell in love was white,
Everybody told me wanting her was not right.
She mocked me with a scornful smile,
She broke my heart which was already agile.
Saw the news about this guy, George,
And how his killing broke out a worldwide surge.
I can't breath were his last words,
But isn't being black really a curse?
He was killed and got all the attention,
But what about us,who die daily don't even get mentioned?
How can your skin color make you superior is all I've ever wondered about,
Why are blacks not given, on their skills, any clout.
Took ages to learn about this,
That loving yourself as who you are is a bliss.
Don't care anymore about what people think,
Because not their face but it's their soul that stinks.
With all the hatred they carry on their shoulder,
They can't realise beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder.
Skin color doesn't but your soul makes you pretty,
Only being white or smooth-skinned doesn't make you witty.
All my homies I want to share this with you all,
It doesn't matter if you're black, white or tall.
Love yourself and believe in you,
Then nobody can stop you from doing anything you do.

He is like a kid. Yes he is. Like a 11 year old kid. He fought in the second world war. He was really brave. He was an American soldier. A brave American soldier. He fought tooth and nail just with a riffle. After when he returned from the army hospital, the doctor whose name was probably Marry Gliton or Marry Gomez said to his family, "Due to a deadly TBI to his pre-frontal cortex now he can't behave like adults. Rather he will behave like children. He needs care and affection. We tried giving him shock therapy but everything went down the drain as his level of gray matter cells is extremely low. You have to take care of him like a baby".

Then his family...

By the way, I forgot to tell you his name . His name is James.

Yeah, now what I was saying, his family then took him to their house. But James wasn't happy at all as his family used to consider him as a burden upon them. So they used to torment him a lot. His daughter-in-law used to rebuke him everyday. And his son crossed almost every limit. Once his son slapped James because he of opened the refrigerator without telling them to eat a piece of cheese. Though after 6 months a local newspaper reporter wrote about his torture in their article. A local NGO tried to help them but his family didn't even allow them to enter their house. After receiving a huge backlash from their neighbours his family decided to send him to a mental asylum. But after 13 months James somehow ran way from that asylum. The asylum told his family about the incident. But his family refused to do anything. Since then he can be found on this pavement of this street, begging and urging people like a child beggar to give him some food.

But sadly, considering his beard, his moustache, his uneven face, his uncombed hair, strangers really think that he is a beggar. But they real don't know about his contribution to the nation.

This is an excerpt from my 3 poem trilogy (Titled - Fixed Amout of Living) i just posted on my blog. It's the outro for it.

THE CURE

Elementary visionaries told the world
Help each other to stay submerged
The Infinite Wisdom shall reap the
The uncensored lightness required to breathe
Living callously on a human street
Straight to hell, shortcuts are bleak
The asylum we are living in
Is the same we die tomorrow
And be born again for life and more sorrow
You must understand for the cycle to break
The origin must be found
To find the cure
You must recount
The steps that brought you here
Time doesn't spare the chance to let go
Of the people you are not so sure
The inception of it all, caused this hell
If you really want the remedy,
Just forgive and forget.

Have you noticed a thing some people doesn't respect their life because they think they born in a poor family but it is not right because life is very valuable. Life always give chances to everyone to change everything it depend on us how to react on them Every moment of life is an feeling we remember your past and become happy and on some incidents we become sad also. If one time life is gone it never come back some people do suicide why?  It's a very bad thing never do it respect your life and life also and also enjoy it.  Remeber most of the successful person like rajnikant and other they are not rich by born but they become rich by their work you all know that rajnikant is a bus conductor but now he is a very big superstar just like him remeber APJ abdul kalam he have nothing in his chilhood his family has only a bot and that is source of income. APJ abdul kalam also spread newspaper for some years because of poor financial conditions but he never give up. You have a lot of example like that so don't give up and win the world.

REJECTION
The first thing about that comes to everyone's mind is a negation or a negativity. But none of us barely knows the strength of this word. Rejection is indeed a positive factor. It solely depends on an individuals perception and how he uses this. The utmost strength is achieved when we know we should have or maybe we could have made it be we didn't and there's this spark which makes you even better. Rejection maybe in many forms. Rejection in an interview, rejection from a loved one or a supposedly or a potential loved one or maybe worse rejection life. However i do feel that the worst kind of rejection when we get a no before trying. No you must be wondering how?. Well, this is indeed the worst kind of a rejection. Imagine a person giving all of his time, efforts, every ounce of his energy in for a a certain thing and he does not even get a chance to present it. Can you imagine his mental state?. Or even imagine a person taking efforts to make someone happy, to be friends with them and they, by their acts, makes them feel unwanted. These feelings are worst. Imagine a person in an office or in relationship and he is made feel that he is not a part of it. He is there but he isn't. He was almost there but he was never there. And even worse is our efforts not being appreciated. All these things break a person into pieces.
For me, the person who takes this as a challenge and prove everyone wrong is a real winner. The person who decides to make everyone regret ( obviously with an aim to take a revenge) wins at life. The day he succeeds, he wins at life. With so many hardships he still has that drop of energy to overcome everything and be back at life. These are the real winners.
But, the people who reject, should know that like everything has a way, there's a way to reject. Obviously everything cannot be possible as per our wishes but to say a no in an apt way is so crucial. Even while rejecting, you recognize someone's efforts, make the other person satisfied. Recognizing someone's efforts makes their day. It may not affect you or bother you but it surely does to them. They take out their precious time to make you happy. They care for you. So recognize someone's efforts that they take for you. I even include myself in this. I have done wrong to many people and today getting somethings back.. I feel the pain. Not only pain but frustrating, anger. Karma is really a bitch. Obviously you cannot be everything to everyone and you the way you feel for someone or consider someone important it's not necessary they may feel so. That's why ek tarfa things are real hard to handle. But ek tarfa pyaar ki taakat bhi kch kam nahi. And Rejections cannot only be negative. You did your bit. You took your efforts. You may not necessarily get what you want but at least have the satisfaction of doing your bit. Get back at life as those efforts which you took will only be fruitful if the other person recognizes. Which is not true in every case. Soo to all the people whose efforts i did not appreciate. I am sorry. And one thing '' someone maybe important to you but you may or may not be '' so know your worth and take efforts for the right things are the right person.

He was a battered man. He was an old man. He was old, battered man. His name Oliver, he had a wrinkly face that seemed to have faced joyful as well as disheartening moments, cold nights and warm summers, weddings and funerals; all that life had to offer. His white beard now grew freely and was unkempt, giving the idea of a man who no longer cared what people thought of him.

Oliver carried an air of contention around him as he went by his days. He had managed to provide for his wife and his 4 kids as best as he could. He had done most of the things he wanted in his life, and even if there were a few left, there wasn't much he could do now. Recently a troubling thought recurred to him several times, what mark he had left in this world?

Though old on the outside, his soul had withstood all the battering that life had to offer and was young as ever. Always exuding confidence everywhere he went, he was the darling of the old as well as the young. Younger adults always sought his wise counsel. He unselfishly helped where he could. In him, children found a caring man and a playmate, who always made them happy.

Everyday, the thought kept crossing his mind. His children as well as grandchildren visited and he would play with them, but the thought wouldn't leave him. What impression would they have of him?

Oliver tried his best to conceal his feelings of dissatisfaction with himself, since he could have achieved more. He masked this by focusing more on his achievements. He also sought support from his family, though indirectly. It was hard to believe that this great man – to them he was, would ever doubt himself. Each day, the voice grew to more profound and thereby silencing all his other thoughts. It troubled him so much that he started wishing that he could die soon.

Once on a warm cloudy noon, he took a walk in the pine forest around his home. Some hikers walking nearby asked to take a picture of him and he made a face with his tongue sticking out. A breath of the fresh forest air quenched his old lungs allowing him to admire the life that he had lived. Not many had the happiness he felt. At once, he knew that he had lived a good life.

Dear Ella,

My beloved, did you miss me? I'm sure your heart is quivering. Your hands must be shaking as you recognize my handwriting. Your honey golden eyes must be diluted. Don't go into shock just yet, I have important things I should tell you and you don't have time to waste.

Remember the tulips we used to grow in our back yard? You're gonna have to look underneath them. Don't ruin them though, you know how much I loved them. Anyway, your fair tiny hands can't possibly get dirty with soil and dust, maybe ask Carl to help out. It's where I kept some dirty secrets, your dirty secrets.

Love
Charels

P. S: please bring some of the tulips next time you visit my grave, it's a little ugly in here.

Malady

Rising up every morning, cramped in a burning furnace,

Petite souls rise, oblivious to deceit and inconsiderateness,

For their backs carry a huge burden and a few tattered bags,

Not filled of books and toys, but of bones and rags.

Mirth was born on his lips and grace bloomed in his hands. He was indeed the great father of all the village. His snow like hair never played a role in why would the villages consider him a parent figure, it was the caring he provided and the warmth he gave. He lived at the edge in a small house with his petite wife's memory which he held close. A girl in our village would come by every now and then to help him with the house. And there's a rumor that he can do magic, but no one ever really saw him practice his arts. Some believed he would pass his secrets to the girl before he dies since he was in his 90s, for his real son left the village fifity years ago and never came back. For me I just liked to pass by his little garden that he gave his most daily attention, it was very beautiful, not betraying the efforts he had put in it. I would pass by and say hello and he would reply me with a smile, a warm gaze of his crystal blue eyes and a wave of his wrinkly hand.

This one i wrote last year, had a lot going on back then. Hope it makes sense to you.

IGNORANCE

In less than about a minute

We lost all senses

We lost the control

And what we were looking for

It's just a myth after all

We kept away from the light

The joy, the wilderness of the night

Swept us towards the ocean

Remarking every descent

To stall with all the focus

In the lost cause

We had a miniature telescope

Until a mini black hole sucked us in

Now the distance and time is irrelevant

What you are looking for is beyond the black

The eyes behind your head could interpret

What lord had planned

The darkness kept you lull

When we missed the rise of the world

You find it appealing to love

You find it needy when you are dubbed the miscellaneous

Then you turn yourself in

You hand over the powers

You cease your existence

To live for the love

The sea won't free you

The waves shall drown you

Their job is not to keep calm

This view you have of sodom

Pretend you are okay

Give in just a little bit more every day

One shall remain thy slaves

You trace your steps

When you can't find any peace

To an old familiar place

Where ignorance was the cure

Never lie down in a sandcastle
The time has a dangerous meticulous fashion
Beware of the wind and destroy your passion
Don't fall in love for just one small reason
Indemnify your tears
For the one and only self
Just in time for another
Night in a small shell
Wizards make the magic
Feel like reality
The trick to defy long-awaited sobriety

Title : I feel enervated

I feel enervated,
for not that i have been castigated.
I see failure everywhere,
not found a competition that i can measure.
happiness makes me nostalgic,
sympathy calls for bereavement.
nights are haunting,
days feel like threatening.

i feel enervated
for not that i have been castigated
hundreds of hopes feel like ghosts.
dangling around day and night
working hard is the key to perfection,
am i the only one not paying enough attention
only god knows what is my true intention,
will i find my way through this competition.

I feel enervated,
for not that i have been castigated
Intimidated by short success,
making step by step success.
will i regain my lost potential,
or would i succumb to incessant fate denial.
watching the night fall after every dawn,
i impatiently wait for my very own dawn.

WORLD UNDER SEA

Densed my eyes
Some positive vibrations woke me
My eyes opened but closed
felt the floor turned to smooth bed
My legs felt my father's hand
Hands of love massaged
Hands neither felt air nor water
Some creatures kissed my cheeks
like a baby girl kissing her father
Some delightful played with my eyes
Something chirpy I guessed
My eyes opened
Witnessed the new world
Witnessed indralog's parijaat tree
Witnessed new form of creatures
which I have never seen before
Perceived a kind of denouement peace
Peace with pleasure in my heart
Neither grasp the sky nor the earth
Obtained iam under the sea
Neither my breath nor my lungs ceased
Can't believe my own eyes
Wow! What a peace of pleasure?
Whether it's dream or reality
Densed my eyes
Dare not to open!

_Reminiscence

Oh now that you are gone
Are you contented with your life of leisure?
Wealth all spent in your pursuit for pleasure
Oh our lost childhood , not of Innocence and mischievous play
But of loneliness ; yearning for Affection and your presence
Nights spend in horror in your absence
My head dipped into the pillow
Bearing the constant voices of betrayal and suspicion
Dearth of love and compassion
Leaving a gulf in my heart
Oh now that you are gone
I will rewrite a story of my own
Not of hardships ,pain or melancholy
But one that of love and compassion
Be the person you could never be
Love my children to the moon and back
A guardian that you could never be
Oh now that you are gone
I wish you find peace and solace

Looking down at us living in a better place

It evokes great joy in my heart
When I keep watching you.
And if things were different
I would cross the oceans to marry you.

It's all about your gorgeous face
Carrying the most beautiful smile
That I am madly in love with.
Its overloaded with cuteness -
Those plumpy lips
Painted with a color of grace
Casts a shadow on your
Well-aligned teeth underneath.

I don't mind even if you think
We don't know each other.
Because it just doesn't matter.
Your ravishing smile tells me
Everything about you.
That you are the woman
With whom I want to spend
My whole life.

The thick dark hair of yours
Manage to flutter in the breeze
Without affecting the beauty
You are bestowed with,
Covering the groomed eyebrows
Which are trying to hide from me.

And what to say about your eyes!
Those big shiny black pearls of love.
They are the dazzling pair of gifts
Rolled down to you from heaven.
Those long curved eyelashes give
The right touch of glamour.
So the twinkle in your eyes is
A rare spectacle of elegance!

But as I examine you closely
I see that those magical eyes hide
All the sorrows of earthly life
And reflect the love you ask from a man.

The waves formed by your cuddly cheeks
Reflect the glint of shyness about you -
Exhibiting the innocence you wear
As the mark of great finesse!
And when you smile, they swell;
Tempting all the children around you
To squeeze them and then kiss them.

If I had met you for real,
I wouldn't have come up with this verse.
Because everything that has created you
Would have overwhelmed me so much
That I would have hardly succeeded
In expressing these words about you.
I am grateful that I am underwhelmed
For not seeing you in person
As it allowed me to write this song
Just by staring at the portraits of you.

Like goddesses and angels,
You are all around me.
On every wall of every room.
Accept this verse as a token of gratitude
For sharing your portraits with me
As they fill the gaps of loneliness with joy
And cure my insanity with your warmth.

I am so sad that we are far away
So this poor soul has only one request:
Please keep sharing your portraits.
I want to dream of you every day
For turning this illusion
Into a delusion of reality
As I live my life in them.
My heart knows that
Our love for each other
Lives on and on,
Forever.

She !!
I feared the dark nights, she pointed d stars
I craved for beauty, she loved my scars
Wen my eyes brighten ,her lips smiled
In the days of silence ,she stood by my side I had exams ,she did some extra prayers
I felt a lil pain, her eyes shed the tears
I feared mistake she showed spirits to fight
I lost my battles , she simply held me tight
I was a brat , she had calmness lyk saint
At times I yelled at her yet she nvr cmplaint
I achieved a lil ,she danced on my fame
Years over years she still remained d same
I m nothing and she is all we need
No god's angel ,she is my mother indeed

It's my life to live,
My rules to make,
I never give a fuck what others think,
Never expect anything from others,
Seeing and listening everything in an awesome way,
Setting new Goals, Setting new Missions,
Shining like a Sun,
Haters around me are just like stars,
My moves are high, expectations are Low,
Crossing my limits, fucking my boundaries,
Enjoying the freedom I've got,
Owning the whole fucking world,
King of my kingdom.

I looked up to the stars..
To tell my story or share childish fears
To be lost in dark & shamelessly shed tears
To reveal secrets & nervousness to fight
To wrap innocence & sleep in twinkling light...

I looked up to the stars..
With a happy heart or teary eyes
To recall the memories of painful goodbyes
To feel emptiness or at times to shout
To free voice inside &cry aloud ...

I looked up to the stars..
To cherish its beauty & question my scars
To connect the dots of my journey so far
Lil did I got my ans of every why ..
