TITLE:
Rain and Sunlight

Painful rain pouring down
And with each drop my heart drowns
Like the heaven aiming with the arrows
They breach the armour of my sorrow
Each drop is too heavy to bear
Ripping my heart with a cunning spear
I try to find the befitting reason
For her treason in this beautiful season

As the thunder hits my eardrums
It reminds me of her temper trantrums
A Spectacle to see as they say the rain causes
But it pauses all that was beautiful
Trying to see through the clouts of clouds
But all is dizzy and all in shrouds
Brimming, my heart overflows with overwhelming pain
Searching the comfort, that she brings

Breezy wind , increases the pain of my heart
Like the game board getting hit by the darts
I don't want it to be furtive
But I don't want it be assertive
Bickering , my words can't express , how plight
Thoughts of her not being in my front gives me fright.

Hope comes along with each ray of sunlight,
Though the rain is the not the enemy that gives one fright
Calmness and serenity spread throughout the mainland,
Seems line rain and sunlight are a long term friend.

TITLE:
The rain

Tiny droplets like the pearls, fall from the sky,
Only to land in the effect of gravity
While some are lucky to be saved by the lotus leaves,
Others looted of their identity by the sand thieves
Some dance on the petals of rose
While some fell at the hands to fate and never rose

I envy the soil for its fragrance,
The rain gets the credit for this essence
I am taken over by nostalgia in this moment,
For the rain brings out memories that are dormant
Running mad with my friends in the mud,
And getting pampered by mother after being scolded by dad

Rain is good for the land is arid,
Not a drop of water on the continent for the bird
Rain gives life, for the cult is waiting to sow,
Waiting for the skies to stretch their heavenly bows
Drench the thirst of those parched lands,
Cause desperate the farmer stands in the lands
Waiting for the rain the heards look to the sky,
Only to wait more , the thirsty birds choose to fly

The Window

Window panes are a little dusty
The iron too became rusty
Calls me to look when it's dusky
But getting to see it is little bit risky
For the view is too grand to be ignored
I bet no one will ever be bored
Crammed up my lessons here before the exam
Dressed up near it ,in my tuxedo for the prom

Each day through the window saw the sun rise
And welcomed the moon after each days demise
Watched every uncle and aunt pass through the gate
Even Peter's funeral ,the view I would always hate
Watched the birds traversing the skies
And the aunties chatting about something secret lies the spies
Watched my mum watering the plants that bore no money
And my father trying to fix the scooter that was worth no penny

My sister when she was twelve
Casting the spell on the creature that never dwelled
Sanya calling me to go the park each evening
For the games we played that had no meaning

I remember the day when I left my house,
The window I sat on called me twice
Calling me to come back soon to the desk,
To watch more wonders through my little nest
I promised the window to reunite ,
And said it goodbye to return and enjoy the site

The rain

The rain brings rest
Dark clouds hover for days
The Sun evades the clouds
Then, one night, rain falls
In torrents, drenching the
Dreamy earth. The farmers
Get busy dressing the moist
Earth for weeks. All the while
The earth is at rest, having
Another ritual bath of the
Year. How relaxed and cute
She grows, like a blossomed
Maiden, ready to be shy.
And the drops glide down her
Feet, with scent of flowers.

Poem: Will

Every day and every night
I walk alone
And start to fight
With the life's claws and deadly nails
With its perpetual untamed might.
I walk and walk in the rain.
And keep bearing the despaired pain
As agony is must for a gain
Blurred gets my vision
And my sight
Can only pray to God,
As it is my only right.

THE INVISIBLE RAIN

26 June 2008, Thursday
A long day at work. Exhaustion all over my body. Reluctant to drive, I headed towards the parking lot, only to find my car missing. After some panicking and calming down, it struck me that I didn't bring my car to work. (Mind, where you at?)
My partner wanted it, and I gave in, not before he played the "I'm back from a long voyage" card.
So, after a quick scan for cabs (to my luck, I found none!), I decided to exploit every citizens' right - public transport.
Found no buses in the closest bus stop despite waiting for quite some time. Grew impatient, and decided to just walk back home.
Started pouring down heavily - not the normal rains everyone experiences, but the kind that inverts your umbrella. Managed to reach a shelter and waited the rain out.
Heard a man call out to me from far. To my surprise, he was without an umbrella or any sort of protection against the rain, and so were everyone else.
Soon, he was so close to me that I could hear his moustache whistle everytime he spoke. He used the choicest of words to abuse and judge me. Asked me why I was gesturing holding an umbrella, and if I was trying to con people. Clueless, I replied in negation and pointed out to the pouring rain. The words became no less kinder, only this time, by more like him, followed by pushing me out of the shelter, claiming it to be only for 'sane people'.
So, there I was, helpless, chattering like a monkey, out in the rain, with an umbrella that started wearing out, only wishing they could empathize with my life.
A second life that I led - a schizophrenic one.
I must've convinced myself a million times - before I headed out in *my* rain - just because they don't see what I see doesn't make me any more insane, or them, any less sane.

If only they could understand.
If only they chose to visualize the seemingly invisible rain.
If only they would not see me as an outcast, or get intimidated by me.
If only...

WHEN I MISS YOU

When I miss you,
I become like the earth without the sun.
A child without fun
Cold and dark.
For I miss your royal smile's spark
My hearts beats in a frozen cage,
As my soul turns to a blank page,
Where once upon its mate's beautiful face stayed.
Life can be poisonous
And death venomous
But you are the antidote
To both.
When I miss you,
I wear sadness like a smile
And confuse eternity with a while.
I guess all I want to say is this;
That it's hard not to be with you,
When all I think of is you.

The Gone Girl

Long blond hair ,much to die for,
Only one woman, who got me to shore,
Soon enough I saw her, she closed the door,
Too big of her devil's smile,
That I can't see ,due to the umbrella she hold,

Beautiful girl gone with the wind,
But she hides the Bellona in her spirit,
Neither she is an Ambivalent nor a Somnambulist,
But yes she is a daughter, yes she is a wife,
But this world forget about the suffer of her neonatal.

So what she can do ,where she go,
This gone girl can world let it go,
And live in a world without placebo.

Is a little like,

Dear rain,
You have given us beautiful memories,
From playing football in park,
To school’s rainy day stories.
From dancing freely with girl,
To crying after breakup with arms curled!
From drinking tea at those stalls,
To moments with friends which we recall.
Always be such beautiful my queen!!

INDEPENDENCE

73 years of Independence alright,
But are we truly free?

In an era where misogyny prevails,
Feminine confidence considered frail.
Heaps of patriarchy leaves its trail,
All diverging roads to equality fail.

In an era where the poor are to sleep hungry,
Whilst the rich decide the fate of the country.
The pleasantest of climates turning sultry,
Effortlessly ignored by all and sundry.

In an era where shoes depict personalities,
Where looks weigh more than capabilities.
The prevailing trends lead to insanity,
Setting standards, erasing familiarities.

In an era where objectifying is "cool",
Humans, though not animals, drool.
Labelling, branding are all man's tools,
One who thinks otherwise is a "fool".

In an era where depression is profound,
Where mental issues are silently crowned.
Our lives constantly chased by greyhounds,
By judgemental stereotypes, we're bound.

73 years of Independence alright,
But when do we end this spree?

Title: Just Another Thunderstorm

Helpless I may be, to stop this thunderstorm,
One obstacle after another, that is just my life's norm!

Will is my umbrella, that shall keep me from being drenched in this rain,
Until this pitter patter can do nothing but go down the drain!

It cannot take away, all that I cherish!
I shall keep my strength until this storm itself shall perish!

One obstacle after another, that is just my life's norm!

Will is my umbrella, that shall keep me from being drenched in this rain,
Until this pitter patter can do nothing but go down the drain!

I shall fight this as I have, all that had tried to do me harm
And when the water gets high enough to drown,
Then too I shall swim against the waves of damn, till I find a platform,
To hold onto until I get back to my fighting form!

It cannot take away, all that I cherish!
I shall keep my strength until this storm itself shall perish!

Monsoon
Some love me while some hate me,
Some find it romantic while some find it disgusting,
Some live life with me while some lost their life within me,
Some waits for me while some gets irritate cause of me,
Some share umbrellas making sweet memories while
Some forget them in hurry,
Some enjoy me while some cry freely,
But everyone loves the smell of soil and even if they hate me still I m gonna love them!😊

Unsettled I may be
with a shaking heart,
but in making your smile fade
I won't take part.

So maybe I will turn my back,
to the monsters of your pack.

Let them feast, lick and bite.
Not knowing if it's wrong or right.

Under those heavy tears
I'll make the path.
Stepping on my fears
in a bloody bath.

Please be my shield of this rain,
let me hope it all won't be in vain.

Teardrops from Heaven

The assemblage of mist laments,
The humans’ malice and torments,

The rains are their tears
Piercing the atmosphere,

And while humans are busy
Avoiding the rain effusively,

Peacocks dance in the jungle,
Making nature-dwellers’ thirst quenchable,

While rain falls, I ponder
How many of these would fall into dark holes yonder,

And how many of these would make it onto
A necklace laced with pearls of highest value.

A Minuscule's Tale

Sheesh, obviously being a Minuscule Person is not tough enough in this godforsaken World of Giants. They just have to make it more dramatic by letting the sky show its might with this damn downpouring rain in the middle of the night huh?

Figures. They don't know that I'm the personification of tough itself. I AM Tough, by name and by nature. Thankfully the moon is shining brightly tonight, else I have to activate my laser-induced Torching Eyelight, of which the Others would kill just to see it from afar, believe me.

Unimpressed much? Tell you what, see these tattoos? These telltale markings were designed by none other than the Great Eminum himself. Hah, now we're talking!

So they should know that, dainty though I may look, this intimidation show is nothing to me. I may be no bigger than a puddle but never will I stumble.

Because this is me- I'm Tough. Umbrella or no.

Basking in the rain

Capricious the sky looks deceiving,
With the thunder clouts shouting.
Agreement of the drops with the cumulonimbus is broken,
And the rain hits to quench the thirst of the parched barron.

Heavenly arrows releive the pain of the mother,
Which made her sick to the point of shedding tears.
While I walk through the rain saving my head,
I could the see the kids basking in the mud.

Thunder roars louder anouncing the upcoming spring,
The lotus leaves savour the pearls and the nature blings,
Every soul in the nature is happy fledgling and absconding,
The nature itself is overwhelmed and in the rain busy basking.
