I recently watched a Hollywood masterpiece - FORREST GUMP.
Here's my piece on it.. Do read it & tell me how's it!
FOREST GUMP.
Holding mama tight, I began to walk, wearing magic shoes.
That's when my curvy back and legs had decided to call a truce.
Great determination packed in my bag, mama sent me up to school.
There I met a few bullies and boys to whom I was a stupid mule.
Amongst the bullies what caught my heart, was a soft velvet voice.
Awestruck & shy I sat besides, her beauty had left me with no choice.
Soon enough we befriended each other, we would walk and hang on a tree.
I would feel, I can even pluck a star if I have her company!
People who say, "magics don't happen!", just don't listen to them, they love to lie!
When I believed that I could walk, I started to run, and now I can even fly!
I fought a war, I made many friends, even lost the best of all.
But all I knew, was to run, to pick myself up, every time I fall.
I came back home from the world's voyage, to meet my mama, and bid her bye.
By her bedside, she told me "Forrest, its very important to live your life, because one day we all would die."
She spoke about the destiny and me, something I never knew about.
I saw her off for her trip to heaven, again began my run, leaving behind all my doubts.
Maybe it was an aimless run, I had hit the random road.
But I know I have a place in heaven, right next to Jesus in his father's abode.
People come, people go, a million experiences to live, to be.
Don't be afraid to walk, run and fly, even if you had your legs braced like me!

I do
I sometimes felt that you felt
Other times I felt I didn't exist for you
'nd it so happened sometimes
that I hoped that you knew
Hell of my friends know 'bout you
'nd I wonder if some of yours know too
Oh I'm so obsessed with us two
That sometimes I feel the urge to
Run away run run
Run away
Run away with you
Just us two
Run run away
Just say what you say
Run away with you
I sometimes felt that you felt
Other times I felt I didn't exist for you
'nd it so happened sometimes
that I hoped that you knew
that I'm so obsessed with us two
that I feel like I feel the urge to
rise from the top of my lungs 'nd go beneath the bottom of my heart
'nd hear you say I do
P.S. This is what I wanted to be a sonnet, but it's explicably not a sonnet. I don't know this's crazy.

The Key To My Being
It was an outcast day,
I'll never forget the date.
I was staring out the window,
Trying to untangle my fate.
I tried to search myself within,
Tried to queue my swirling thoughts,
But they all miscarried leaving me,
As I listened to my howling rot.
They made me feel like I was
A scrappy abridged page,
Oblivious to the book of my existence,
Which somewhere lies encaged.
I wished to know my desires,
My wants and my needs,
I craved to know my purpose,
The reason of my being.
I longed to know myself,
I struggled to set free,
I tried to dig my mind to know
Who I really wanted to be.
In hope of finding myself,
I drilled and dug my head,
I unearthed my deepest thoughts,
Penetrated till I bled.
And yet I couldn't find "me",
For little did I know,
That the very key to my being
Was burnt long ago.

Title: Avenging Angel
Authors Note: This short story was written, as my entry submission to take part in the activity on 28th June, 2020. The activity picture is of a small boy sitting on a chain-link fence looking up at a fighter jet in the sky.
In the form of a child, as I see this tool up above me, this fighter jet, the instrument I chose to be the bearer of my wrath, I feel a battle rage taking over my body. A need to destroy anything and everything that was involved in the massacre in which my son was killed.
I am Kirakulariki, a Brihatsuraputra (Brispra for short). We are sons and daughters, born out of the union of Suras (Gods) and Asuras (Daanav). Only the best and noblest of Asura, that they were good enough to be a Sura, if not for the accident of birth that made them Asura, were chosen to mate with the Devas. We were part of a misguided attempt by some gods to reform the Asura, so that peace would prevail upon Earth and mankind would prosper. But, the Asura, who were fit to mate with the Devas were rare indeed, just a handful actually. The gods that started this realized that this was going nowhere and abandoned the idea, and the Brispras already born, as just an experiment gone bad. We were the most classified secret, kept even from the other gods, and because of this we survived. The gods involved all died in the same catastrophe, that led to the gods retreating from Earth to another dimension, while at the same time taking the powers and memories of all the Asura in one go. Asura have lost their identity and became part of mankind, with nothing to distinguish them from humans.
But, we Brispra retained our powers and memories maybe because we were part Sura and so were immune. I have walked this land, since then, taking mates, in the guise of a human, every few centuries, to pass the time and to not be alone. But mostly I have kept away from such relationships because of the pain of loss when they all die while I continue to live, cursed by my damned immortality. This time, I had abstained for seven centuries, but in the end I took a mate again, unable to bear the loneliness. My son, born brought joy to my existence, even though I knew he would die someday. When he wanted to be a soldier, I vehemently disagreed, not wanting him to choose an occupation that could cut short even this little time I had with him. But, he did not heed me, went on to become a soldier, went to the border to defend his nation. And when the Chinese in their quest for regional dominance tried to wrest land from my motherland, my son, a part of the delegation, sent to talk and to claim back land from the Chinese, went unarmed, was massacred along with his comrades, by the Chinese monsters and their disgusting backstabbing attack.
And now,
They shall know my just wrath,
My vengeance, they wrought,
In their arrogance, they sought
To claim our land, they coveted in their every thought!
Never expecting, any major retort!
But in killing my son, they erred, they cannot distort!
With this fighter jet, and my powers conjoined
In an unstoppable onslaught,
I shall kill those cowardly devils that my son fought,
And continue to their leaders, that brought me to this spot!

When I opened my eyes, he wasn't there;
I panicked and I searched everywhere.
From destroyed buildings to cemeteries, he was no where to be found!
He knew how sad I become if he is not around.
A year ago those bad uncles attacked, so much blood was spilled;
Lots of families vanished, my parents too were killed.
The school where I used to go, the park where I used to play;
They where bombed overnight, reduced to debris in a day!
Snatching my childhood, they say they prevented a war,
Very proudly they took everything which I used to adore.
Was crying on remains of dreams, when I first saw him;
Standing beside carcass of his mother, his condition was also grim.
The two sad souls met, the two sad souls became friends;
Whole day searching for food, we started meeting our ends.
Life was again happy as if all the gloom disappeared;
In the noise of rifles, because of this love the atmosphere was cheered!
But that day without him, sadness once again reached it's peak;
Why did he leave me? Was our friendship so weak?
Running from dawn to dusk, I found him near the lake;
I hugged and kissed him, promised will never do such mistake.
A lady with the camera asked us to capture this moment;
Next day newspapers captioned- " Happiness in the torment".
She won the Pulitzer though our condition remained the same;
Maybe a dog and a child couldn't question-"who was the one to be blamed?"

I am not a beggar not even poor.
I am so rich and an absolute doer.
I even donate millions and billions.
But I don't have a penny, only love affection, a trillion.
My donations are not physical sure!
But any desease by love and care i can cure.
I don't have a big house to adopt this dog.
My heart is bright and bigger enough,
To keep it safe from evil mind's smog.
I have priceless pennies of love
And huge houses of care
Eyes of heavenly hope
And a heart so rare.
I ignite not only the bush
But also rusted stereotyped mind.
Nowadays people have lost the thing which is called love
And they are very calm
And don't even try to find.

In the end, it was just me and my thoughts,
A painful trap, long after you were gone
memories running through my mind my heart you took it with you.
my heart is filled with darkness like deepness of the sea!
why is it so hard to forget your past?
why is it so hard for me to move on in life?
You left me midway of our life.
when I saw you betraying me, my eyes couldn't believe!
In front of my eyes, my world broke apart!
my heart and brain are unable to forget of your betrayal.
I doubt myself, whether I hurt in any way?
was I not capable of your love?
Your betrayal scar on my life and heart made me hard to believe anyone in life.
now my life is full of darkness, the only hope of my life left me alone.
I remember our sweet memories together, our promise to be together even in dark times.
but you left me alone with a broken heart.
It was my mistake, I was unable to differentiate between love and lust!
you did not love me, you left me for wealth in this world.
we promise to be together in life and afterlife, but I was wrong to believe you.
I can't hate you, I loved you with my heart.
I just wish for your happiness
I will try to move on, step by step trying to forget you.
my broken heart will be joined together one day when I will my true love.

A twisted road,
A rebellious journey,
A challenging code,
Towards life's tourney
full of obstacles,
full of choices,
Think twice to choose any path,
be strong, face obstacles with a smile 😊
Do best in whatever path in life
Do not be regretful on your mistakes, try to mend in future.
failures are part of life, learn from it!
you might feel down, you might feel depressed
But try to getup again and again in life!
your life journey will be full of happiness and sadness.
Be strong mentally to face any situation in life.
make your weakness, your strength.
Be sure to thank people who are with you in hard and happy times of life
be sure to live every moment of life
Be always with loved ones, be their strength
Donot compare yourself with others,
everyone has their own different life path designed by them.
Instead of admiring others life,
make your life with hard work,so that others learn from you!
Attitude is everything,
see everything in life with positive attitude and thinking,
negative attitude can destroy your relationships.
some people might hate you,
But be good with them, there hate will turn into love towards you by themselves!
making friends is easy,
but always be with friends in their kith and kin of life.

The broken Lad
The agile boy left no village land intact
Although ache was adjacent to heart.
Pack of his friend halo
Never hesitate to carryout amity.
Life is too ill-fated
Certainly not bow down to wish.
Remembering the well saying
His dear patron taught him.
Don't be mournful, son
Indeed pain makes people mature.

NEED OF ROSES
In an era of darkness,
I was confined in four walls of agony,
I grew depression in watering tears,
Lips was dry with lies of smiles,
Sank into verse of pained words,
Filling not colours but only black,
Again and again his face and his words,
Piercing me in pieces, hearing strong claps from illness,
Oh! My dear, come, wake me from here, begging for his love,
I hate being here and,
I need myself on your chest.

Title- Shaded minds
Searching in the storeroom, I found something special:
Those were my kindergarten books, lying inside a big vessel.
Smiled on my handwriting before I found something shocking;
Labelling lighter skin colour as beautiful, 'darker skin they were mocking!
Turning a few pages, there was the story of snow-white;
Her fairness was her beauty because dark-hued don't get prince, right?
Meanwhile, some of my neighbouring ' aunties' arrived;
Someone was again demeaned, by those gossips deprived.
"She is so dusky that's why can't get a suitable groom,
She has no choice left", all of those ladies presumed.
"Hefty dowry has to be paid", one of the greatest exclaimed;
In one more chat session, someone's skin colour was shamed.
Getting away from this to Facebook, I fled;
The meme was of a wedding, "profits of govt job" the caption said.
Laughing on that, I went into the memory;
Old school pics I found with stupid captions which were mandatory.
Everyone's nickname it reminded with one who was called 'crow' ;
It was embarrassing now, what was funny some years ago!
Frustrated with everything, to the TV I resorted;
Fairness cream ad displayed showin' tanned man's career distorted.
Music even felt so mean when 'chittiyan kalayiyaan' song played;
Daily soaps were no less, obsession with fair skin they displayed.
When the news channels flashed- "Due to racism, one more black man died" ;
Even the irony smirked when 'fair&lovely' actors too criticized.
We all are responsible, we all played some part;
Change has to be within us, for change in the world to start.
No one is born racist, it's all that we are taught;
Our generation has to do something, for this thing to be stopped.
Equality is the biggest myth, it always will be;
But something if we do, the world will be better than what we see.

Labelling lighter skin colour as beautiful, 'darker skin they were mocking!
Turning a few pages, there was the story of snow-white;
Her fairness was her beauty because dark-hued don't get prince, right?
Meanwhile, some of my neighbouring ' aunties' arrived;
Someone was again demeaned, by those gossips deprived.
"She is so dusky that's why can't get a suitable groom,
She has no choice left", all of those ladies presumed.
"Hefty dowry has to be paid", one of the greatest exclaimed;
In one more chat session, someone's skin colour was shamed.
Getting away from this to Facebook, I fled;
The meme was of a wedding, "profits of govt job" the caption said.
Laughing on that, I went into the memory;
Old school pics I found with stupid captions which were mandatory.
Everyone's nickname it reminded with one who was called 'crow' ;
It was embarrassing now, what was funny some years ago!
Frustrated with everything, to the TV I resorted;
Fairness cream ad displayed showin' tanned man's career distorted.
Music even felt so mean when 'chittiyan kalayiyaan' song played;
Daily soaps were no less, obsession with fair skin they displayed.
When the news channels flashed- "Due to racism, one more black man died" ;
Even the irony smirked when 'fair&lovely' actors too criticized.
We all are responsible, we all played some part;
Change has to be within us, for change in the world to start.
No one is born racist, it's all that we are taught;
Our generation has to do something, for this thing to be stopped.
Equality is the biggest myth, it always will be;
But something if we do, the world will be better than what we see.

It's nice piece of work although inspiring but according to me it is still far from being a poem

Title: PLAYING HUMAN
The smile on my lips
is forced and coerced
I pretend to pay attention
give the best possible advice
everyone praises me
I'm so kind, polite and nice
It's all just automation
I rarely actually listen
certainly don't care
all I'm doing
is playing human
blending in
fitting in
I'm so perfectly hidden
you'll never even
see a curtain,
from where I stand
Majoring in social events
Put on a pedestal
for computing with you
I'm so perfectly hidden
smiling from time to time
Labeling those
with all sincerity
open soldiery
Passing along an appeal
continuing to fit in
blend in
pretend
force program
Is it just me or
am I the perfect human?

TITLE: Pledge your pain
Pledge your pain to the indomitable courage,
If you want to be safe from the dreaded scourge.
Pledge your pain to the money you earn,
For the world has an eye on everything you churn.
Pledge your pain to the good customaries,
If you want your world to be free of miseries.
Pledge your pain to the power you believe,
You may need it on the day when world will leave you to bleed.
Pledge your pain if you have the will,
Cause life is going to test you on your way to every hill.
Pledge to your pain if you have it all,
Cause it never left you in your rise or the fall.
Pledge the pain to your negative thoughts,
Cause they were there even when you never sought.
Pledge your pain to your beliefs ,
Thank them for keeping your safe.
Pledge your pain to the nature that exists,
Cause everything might seem like a malignant cyst.
Pledge your pain to the keeper of
Pledge your pain to your pain,
Cause it may help you remain sane.

TITLE:
Time illusion or reality
The title I choose for this excerpt is because time has been a mystery ever since we have known time. Several scholars and scientists have said numerous things about time.
" Time is money." – Benjamin Franklin
"Lost time is never found again. " – Benjamin Franklin
"Better three hours too soon than a minute too late. " – William Shakespeare
"Time is the most valuable thing a man can spend." – Theophrastus
" Time is free, but it’s priceless. You can’t own it, but you can use it. You can’t keep it, but you can spend it. Once you’ve lost it you can never get it back."
........Harvey Mackay
"Time is a cruel thief to rob us of our former selves. We lose as much to life as we do to death."
Elizabeth Forsythe Hailey
Since the start of civilization humans have used natural resources like the occurrences of darkness and light, position and movement of the moon in the sky to keep track of time, this let the invention of seasons, It was only 30,000 years ago when humans first started using sundial ( using mountain and tree shadows at first), water clocks to measure time,
The division into 60 originated from the ancient Babylonians (1900 b.c.e.–1650 b.c.e.), who attributed mystical significance to multiples of 12, and especially to the multiple of 12 times 5, which equals 60. The Babylonians divided the portion that was lit by the Sun into 12 parts, and the dark interval into 12 more, yielding 24 divisions now called hours, although it is not known but we have started to use analogue watched some 400 years ago and our recent discoveries made is develop the atomic watch that could measure time to the billionth of a second is only somewhat 50 years old.
Multiple advancements and research by some great scholars like Albert Einstein and Isaac Newton let to the development of the "Theory of Relativity " that even said that time is a dimension and everything is relative to this fourth mysterious dimension. We are still moving further with research on time cause there are several mysterious lurking in the universe about how the could be bent to move between future , present and past.
Equivocating all about time there is still one fact that several people are trying to unveil about this "mysterious being" called time ( maybe I went too far and called it a being), is that should time really matter, although it is essential but what about the stories of people who have broken free from shackles of time. Those "ageless beings" do they exist, cause if they do we have not understood time, maybe time is really a being that keeps reminding us of its passage and drains us of our life energy just like some scholars quoting 'time' to be a 'thief' of all we love and care . Our bodies some say has our own clock and there are some who have control over it.
"Suspect each moment, for it is a thief, tiptoeing away with more than it brings." ........John Updike
In the ancient Hindu mythology "Aatma" has been said to be immortal , an entity that never dies, what if that is true and we can find a way out to win over our consciousness one day and live without this mortal body remembering all that we do .
Mythology talks about time as ageless that it existed even when there was nothing and would still exist even all that we know ceases to exist.
There is still a lot to be said and discussed about time. Maybe together we will be able to unravel it's mystery or maybe not, cause even when I am writing this is flowing at its own pace and we are losing that part of it causing it to look more mysterious. Keeping it's secret to oneself it goes on and on and on........

FLUCTUATIONS OF HAPPINESS
Whether they go gently
or expedite with force
the rhythms of the night
are there to ravish us
in the miserable nature
of indomitable, incessant need
to gratify a neglected
consciousness
fraught with dancing endorphins
and linger about
love's sea
as a salient reciprocal

CAGED
Woke up blithely on a morning
With gushing thoughts of the day's plans.
Adagio, reality begins to strike,
Marking the lovely plans delusional.
The monotonicity of life forcibly takes on,
Leaving no choice but to become mechanical.
Leading to second thoughts on hankering,
Giving way to lament of all sort.
Late realizations dawn upon one,
Causing convincing of the highest order.
All ends with the blatant thought -
There's no end to this rat race of rabbit runs.
