As I have explained on innumerable occasions, it is wrong and dangerous to place qualifiers prior to a discussion of Islam, or to use the "ism" ending. There is no radical Islam; there is no militant Islam; there is no violent extremist Islam; there is no Islamism. There is only Islam. This is the official position of innumerable Islamic scholars and politicians. As I explain in The Parasitic Mind, the reflex to use "Islamism" rather than "Islam" stems from the suicidally empathetic reflex of the West to argue that Islam is beautiful but Islamism is some non-representative offshoot. It is not. Use the proper appellation: Islam.
