Going to remind people not to trust information from headlines or random tweets. They’re often either misleading or outright lies. I do this myself sometimes too, and it’s a habit we should all drop. It’s an inherent problem with how social media has changed the way people get information.

Always read a full story and do research for yourself. It’s the long way, but the right way.

This tweet is an example of what I’m talking about. It went viral so it must be credible, right? Wrong. Almost the entire tweet is completely made up.

Barnett has not been sentenced yet. There’s zero evidence his family had to sell their cars or house. The only grain of truth to the tweet is that the prosecutors offered Barnett a plea deal that COULD *potentially* result in 70 to 87 months in prison, but his defense attorney rejected it.

We always say don’t believe random BS on the Internet, but so many people still do anyway.

Pope Francis recently gave a speech saying that family and raising the next generation should be priorities over a career.

The issue with this meme is that there is no serious movement among Democrat politicians to cut foreign aid to Israel. The overwhelming majority, much like the Republicans, support it. There are a few token Democrats who speak out in favor of the Palestinians, but they don’t do anything with their positions beyond those words.
