Insane how articles like this admit that liberalism has become a nightmare, Western society is getting worse, community is declining, the youth are in a spiritual & mental black hole.... but the only real problem the author has with any of these things are that they make fascism more appealing.

Why is preserving "freedom and democracy" the end goal? Having a good, moral, healthy society should be the end goal.

I find there to be nothing Catholic about Amari’s analysis of race. He praises the most radical elements of the Enlightenment (you know, the ones who beheaded our Catholic kings/queens) for pioneering anti-racism. Any good Catholic knows that most Enlightenment political philosophy was rejected by the Church in the Syllabus of Errors.

Catholicism allows for the recognition and accommodation of racial/ethnic realities. A core part of our philosophy is Natural Law, we are not utopians who think all humans are a “blank slate”. That idea was birthed from the mind of the anti-Catholic John Locke.
