Chopin : Unresolved stress / traumatic event is an underlying theme in Chopin's music. Music phraseology could be a result of "emotional masking".
Janacek: Focus on music coherency and breath continuity. Especially towards the end of the piece where the accompaniment enhances musical conflict. It should "ENHANCE" the melody without interrupting flow. (Ref. Schiff 2017 live recording).
