When I worked at a prop firm and we received accounts under management almost for free, more than half of my colleagues never made it to payouts – because the gap between the numbers on your personal wallet and the numbers on an electronic account is huge. It's extremely hard to take the numbers on the screen seriously, especially when you sit in front of charts every day. You only earn what you actually withdraw to your wallet – that's an axiom. 🗣
This thought is obvious, but it's easy to ignore it in the moment, especially when you're having a pretty successful trading week. Just give a person a reason, and within minutes they'll become arrogant and think they've caught God by the beard. 🧠
