I've done this before, but let me explain once again why, during a global short-term move, I get ideas to open long contracts that CLEARLY contradict it.
It all comes down to how liquidity forms on prediction markets – you can take any platform, whether it's Polymarket or Kalshi, the rules are the same. I'll summarise it in one sentence:
In other words, trading corrective moves is the most profitable. 🗣
Trading is mostly about psychology and finding inefficiencies – read up on it, and it'll all click in your head. 🧠

The more people understand that price is moving in a long direction during a given period, the less profit you will make if you buy contracts in that same direction.

"I don't want to overload myself, because I spend almost every day in front of the monitors for 10 hours. So, taking profits in time and stepping away from the market is the best habit you can develop. When I worked at a prop firm and we received accounts under management almost for free, more than half of my colleagues never made it to payouts – because the gap between the numbers on your personal wallet and the numbers on an electronic account is huge. It's extremely hard to take the numbers on the screen seriously, especially when you sit in front of charts every day. You only earn what you actually withdraw to your wallet – that's an axiom. 🗣
This thought is obvious, but it's easy to ignore it in the moment, especially when you're having a pretty successful trading week. Just give a person a reason, and within minutes they'll become arrogant and think they've caught God by the beard. 🧠
