What it stands for China Scholastic Competency Assessment — a standardized test run by CSC to evaluate all international undergrad applicants on a common basis.
Subjects — Math (mandatory for everyone, including arts) — Physics, Chemistry — Professional Chinese (Sciences or Humanities track).
When it applies — 2026: Required for CSC scholarship applicants — 2028: Mandatory for ALL international undergrads — Held 5×/year: January, March, April, June, December.
How it affects you Scores count for both admission and scholarship evaluation. 60%+ = strong position. Below 50% = your options shrink fast.
