The SNP are notoriously soft on crime, a fact that has led to a surge in crime across Scotland.
During the COVID lockdowns that stopped prisoners from receiving visitors they decided it was a great idea to provide prisoners with free mobile phones.
They have now decided that it is an even better idea to keep the free mobiles for prisoners scheme going, in perpetuity.
This scheme costs the taxpayer nearly three quarters of a million pounds a year. With ordinary Scots struggling to heat their houses and feed their families, never mind pay for mobile phones, one has to ask if this is not a waste of public money and a pampering of criminals who should be being punished rather than supplied with life's luxuries.
One has to also wonder how many crimes have been carried out linked to these phones, as prisoners have easy access to outside associates.
The SNP are again wasting taxpayers money at a time of crisis and being weak on crime. Time for the SNP to go.

Car manufacturing is set to return to Scotland after a 41-year hiatus.
A new electric 4x4 featuring cutting edge technology is set to be manufactured in East Kilbride in the coming years.
Munro Vehicles has been set up by a pair of indigenous Scots, who are following in the footsteps of generations of Scots entrepreneurs who led the way forward in innovation.
The company hopes to create 300 jobs and produce 2500 vehicles a year by 2027.
Its fantastic to see manufacturing returning to Scotland, especially in the hi-tech sector. Scotland has always been a centre of innovation and hopefully a future Scottish government will take the steps needed to make Scotland a powerhouse of enterprise and Innovation again.

The NHS crisis is becoming more and more evident with some hospitals running at 230% of capacity and patients being treated in chairs in corridors by exhausted and emotional staff.
The SNP have absolutely no plan on how to address this crisis and are responsible for the rapid decline in the Scottish NHS in the last 15 years of their rule.
Scotland needs a party with new ideas and the ability to actually manage the country and economy rather than mismanage it as the SNP have done.

On this day in 1546 at Temple Newsham Yorkshire Henry Stuart, Lord Darnley was born.
Henry Stuart, Lord Darnley, was an English nobleman who was the second husband of Mary, Queen of Scots, and the father of James VI of Scotland and I of England. Through his parents, he had claims to both the Scottish and English thrones, and from his marriage in 1565 he was king consort of Scotland.
Less than a year after the birth of his son, Darnley was murdered at Kirk o' Field Edinburgh in 1567. Darnley and his valet's bodies were found in the orchard at Kirk o"Field after they had fled an explosion at the House where Darnley was staying. Darnley was in his nightshirt showing he had fled quickly and it appears he was smothered in the orchard. James Hepburn, Earl of Bothwell, Archibald Douglas and even Darnleys wife Mary were suspected of involvement in his murder.

In the Glasgow area there are an estimated 2.450 homes laying empty while Glasgow sees a massive surge in housing waiting lists and homelessness applications. The council need to act on this even if it means the compulsory purchase of empty houses. The homes should be brought back into use and locals could be employed and trained to do the work to refurbish them bringing much needed jobs and money into local communities.
Glasgow has also not spent over £11 million of Scottish government funding that should have been used between 2017/18 and 2020/21 to do work to retrofit homes to make them warm and energy efficient, something much needed just now. With hundreds of thousands or even millions of homes across the UK needing retrofitted in the future, this again would provide training and employment opportunities if these funds were used.
The SNP-run city council is yet again letting the citizens of Glasgow down. Real nationalists are needed in Iocal politics to defend our people's future.

The Treaty of Falaise was a forced written agreement between the captive William I, King of Scots, and Henry II, King of England.
During the Revolt of 1173-1174, William joined the rebels and was captured at the Battle of Alnwick during an invasion of Northumbria. He was transported to Falaise in Normandy while Henry prosecuted the war against his sons and their allies. Left with little choice, William agreed to the Treaty and therefore England's dominion over Scotland. For the first time, the relationship between the king of Scots and the king of England was to be set down in writing. The Treaty's provisions affected the Scottish king, nobles, and clergy; their heirs; judicial proceedings, and transferred the castles of Roxburgh, Berwick, Jedburgh, Edinburgh, and Stirling over to English soldiers; in short, where previously the king of Scots was supreme, now England was the ultimate authority in Scotland.

A divisive new law is set to be passed later this month by the Scottish Parliament which will make it easy for anyone in Scotland to change their gender in the eyes of the law.
The legislation will shorten the time scale for anyone to obtain a gender recognition certificate, which is needed to change gender on a birth certificate and other legal documents.
The SNP continues to prioritise minority interest policies which harm society as a whole. The original Malcolm Canmore, a name now associated with his great-grandfather Malcolm III , succeeded his grandfather David I, and shared David's Anglo-Norman tastes.

standard was a red lion rampant with a forked tail (queue fourchée) on a yellow background. This (with the substitution of a 'double tressure fleury counter-fleury' border instead of an orle) went on to become the Royal Banner of Scotland, still used today but quartered with those of England and of Ireland.

As an MSP, Blackman earns a salary of over £60,000 a year, and claimed over £207,000 in expenses last year.
You could be forgiven for thinking that she is mocking the people of Scotland who are struggling not only to heat their homes but also to feed themselves and their families.

Two schoolgirls from Ayrshire, one aged 14 and one 15 have gone missing in Glasgow's infamous four corners area. The area has been a hangout for young people for decades and has seen many reports of violence, drug dealing and use and sexual exploitation.
Nationalists raised the alarm over grooming gangs of young and middle aged asians operating in this area a few years back. A police investigation was promised but as usual with Police Scotland when an issue is raised that they may see as "racially" - or the more ridiculous titled "culturally" sensitive - nothing happens and the issue is quickly swept under the carpet.
It also must be asked why two such young girls from a town many miles from Glasgow were roaming the streets at 0230 in the morning unchallenged. This would seem to show a failure of our society in parenting and the police and care services.

One of Sturgeon's own MSPs tried to get a change made to the Gender Recognition Bill to ban sex offenders from changing sex while on trial.
Her attempt was blocked not only by SNP MSPs but also by Green and Labour MSPs on the committee reviewing the bill.
The MSP, along with the support of a Tory MSP, still hopes to get the change made by putting forward an amendment to the bill.
It is beyond ridiculous that a rapist could change their sex during a trial, forcing the victim to refer to her attacker as "she". It is also ridiculous that a convicted male sex offender could change their sex before, during or after a trial and be sent to a woman's prison. Such a move is a danger to women prisoners and staff, and also to the general public when the sex offender is now freely able to enter women-only spaces.
This bill needs stopped now. Join us in opposing it.

One being. of course, where did he get the very oddly specific sum of £107,620 to loan the party in the first place? On a SNP chief executive's salary of £79,750 a year he must be a very thrifty saver.
The SNP and Murrell have been issued with "guidance" from the Electoral Commission over the fact that he didn't declare the loan for over a year - a breach of the usual procedure. One has to ask how efficient a chief exec he can be if he doesn't know the rules.
Another question is, why do the SNP need a loan in the first place when they rake in over £2.5 million a year in membership fees alone, plus other income?

The Scottish Government is setting up a fund to help businesses bring in what they call "foreign skilled workers".
The SNP/Green alliance claims that the only way to assure the growth of Scotland's economy is to bring in a constant flow of foreign workers.
At a time when budgets are being cut all round, is this really the time to be spending money bringing in yet more foreigners?
If we really want to grow the economy, we should be concentrating on getting Scots back into work, incentivising people to come off benefits and make work pay, build a skill base amongst the indigenous Scots, especially the young and unemployed, and help small and medium businesses to expand.
Previous schemes to attract so-called "skilled workers" have seen the country flooded with people who are anything but highly skilled. This is just another part of the SNP's plan to flood the country with immigrants, not to help our economy or our people's future.

The SNP administration of Glasgow has returned £165,764 in unspent community mental health funding this year. In the year April 2021 to April 2022, it sent an even higher amount of £174,514 from the community mental health budget back to Holyrood.
Given that mental health services across Scotland are in crisis, especially youth services, this is an unacceptable situation. The SNP controlled council failed to recruit staff and get projects off the ground yet again showing how inefficient they are.
The money should not have been returned to Holyrood, but instead, if the council can not utilise it effectively, it will be handed to other mental health services who can to help ease the cities mental health crisis.
The council has also not spent £44 million in covid funding, which will also now be lost. Anyone who lives in or visits Glasgow can see the desperate need for investment in the city. The council is failing Glaswegians.
Nationalists need to get involved in local politics to address these failures.
